Gerardo Demara, known in the world of Mexican music as Jerry Demara , died this Monday, November 30 after spending a few days interned in the United States.
On November 28 it was learned that he had undergone emergency surgery and due to his state, singer Raúl Sandoval, former member of the first generation La Academia, organized a prayer chain to ask for his health.
Sandoval himself reported this Monday on his Instagram account about the death of Jerry, who in 2018 was nominated to the Latin Grammy in the category of Best Regional Mexican Album and who participated in the second season of La Voz México.

The past November 28, Jerry made a live broadcast on his Facebook account where he reported his health status.

His situation worsened in such a way that he had to be connected to an artificial respirator and would have suffered two cardiac arrests
With more than a decade of experience, Demara participated at the end of 2012 in the second edition of La Voz México, as part of Paulina Rubio's team, with whom she came to share the stage.
In fact, according to an interview she gave to Latinoam, her participation in that Televisa program was key in her career.
