Aaron Rodgers says something, sort of, about his situation

From NFL Now: Summing up the #Packers situation with QB Aaron Rodgers, who also wanted more input in personnel decisions… and how the Jake Kumerow release (!!) played into it. pic.twitter.com/EOGG9aQg3R

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) May 3, 2021

The latest in the evolving and escalating conflict between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers might be the craziness bit of reported news yet.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers releasing receiver Jake Kumerow before the season last year “drove Rodgers nuts” and was “described as a little bit of a death knell in the relationship” between the quarterback and decision-makers in the organization.

Rodgers now wants out of Green Bay, although the Packers are committed to not trading him.

According to Rapoport, Rodgers wants more input in personnel decisions.

Unhappiness with the team’s decision on Kumerow’s roster status early last September looks like another bread crumb in the trail leading up to this point.

The Packers surprisingly released Kumerow during final cuts, and just one day after Rodgers publicly praised the veteran receiver and described him as a roster lock. The team decided to keep Malik Taylor over Kumerow, who was a favorite of Rodgers.

“Jake Kumerow has been such a solid performer for us for the last couple years,” Rodgers told Sirius XM NFL Radio, via PackersNews.com. “I love his reliability. I think he’s a fantastic, steady player who’s very heady on the field, he makes plays. He plays with a lot of confidence, and he’s a guy you love having on the squad.”

Kumerow caught 20 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns over two seasons in Green Bay. He was originally signed to the team’s practice squad in December of 2017.

The Green Bay Packers have assigned official uniform numbers to each player in the team's nine-player 2021 draft class.

These are the numbers you'll see on the fronts and backs of the green-and-gold uniforms worn by the rookie class. Of course, providing the numbers without commentary about each player's new digits wouldn't be right.

Here are the new numbers for the Packers rookies:

The Green Bay Packers added nine new players to their roster during the 2021 NFL draft. GM Brian Gutekunst used this year’s draft to select an athletic cornerback, three offensive linemen, a couple of offensive skill position players and help at both defensive line and inside linebacker.

The Aaron Rodgers situation looms large over the team right now, but nothing provides hope for a franchise quite like the aftermath of a draft. The upside of these new players – and the things they'll bring to the table – provide a necessary jolt of excitement, especially for a team that didn't...

The Green Bay Packers used the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft on Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes. Here are some of the best available photos of the Packers' first-round pick:

If you don't understand his Silence. You won't understand his Words. He has an Agent. We've seen the divide with #4. Gute wanted him out. His Actions spoke louder then words.

Your reading way to much into this. usually theres a sign of abuse, or it's the living style your living. His personal life should not be brought into this. HE moved out.

May 03, 2021 at 02:18 pm

You are free to ignore his strange personal life...but then eat your own cooking. "You are reading to much into this" then suggest parental abuse into his estrangement?

Maybe he is just a self centered arrogant jerk who holds grudges and is unable to forgive. I don't know about you, but if it is true his mom and dad sent Christmas gifts to him and Munn...and he sent them back...that tells me A LOT about the child in the man. How about he makes a "phone call" of his own and just says "thank you. Merry Christmas mom and dad".

His estrangements are now getting national attention. Like it or not, his personal life is now part of it. And who caused it? I wonder what the executives of Jeopardy! are thinking about this.

May 03, 2021 at 07:06 pm

There are many people estranged from their families/parents primarily due to the relationship being toxic and that individual removing themselves from the toxicity. I am not sure why we ALWAYS blame the adult child in this. I suggest you research the subject matter and research the "psychology today" website as this is a significantly deeper issue than you are portraying it being. More often than not the parents themselves suffer from personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder or many others. This personality disorder manifests itself into a completely toxic relationship with the adult child or worse that adult child having developed neuroses of their own.

The one thing I do know about his family is they essentially embarrassed a celebrity family member by trying air out family issues on a dating game show on National television with him not present.....can't say I ever seen anything more self agrandizing or ridiculous....I would not be happy about this....

May 03, 2021 at 10:12 am

Rodgers doesn't speak to his own family. If that's doesn't speak volumes stockholder, nothing does.

May 03, 2021 at 10:24 am

I don't speak to mine either. If you don't want to hurt anyone. You keep away.

May 03, 2021 at 02:31 pm

I just lost my Dad on Christmas Eve. I am going to miss our Packer pregame talks....but I miss not being able to pick up the phone to talk to my mentor about so many things. My brothers are dear and trusted friends. As are sisters.

I cannot even fathom not having them in my life.

May 03, 2021 at 07:20 pm

I don't either, nor do they speak to me. What "volumes" exactly does that speak? Or does it ALL fall on the individual in your opinion? Are you a Psychologist?

May 03, 2021 at 11:14 am

While none of us will ever know the whole truth I 100% believe Aaron had this whole thing planned shortly after the Jordan Love draft selection. Aaron stated he started watching film of his best years evaluating his play. He came in very motivated to play his best. Once he won the MVP award he felt he had leverage. As soon as the Pack lost the NFC Championship game he jumped right into IMO a planned narrative about how he doesnt know his future and it is in the Packers hands. He had the limelight and media attention immediately after the game and he pounced setting this whole thing up.

Conspiracy theory? Rodgers knew Boyle would not be resigned. He was close to Boyle and knew what Boyle's intentions were. Rodger's likely waited until after Boyle left to leverage the Packers knowing the straights he would put them in.

Rodgers with a very well planned out agenda let it be leaked thru 3rd parties he was unhappy and not coming back. Rodgers has the ability thru social media to speak up and refute these statements but hasn't.

My opinion of Rodger's is not good. Intelligent but a manipulator and if it turns out true he truly wants out I hope the Packers do not give into his requests and they trade his ass. The 2 teams that have been rumored to be interested in him I have looked at their rosters (49's and Denver) and there are many young talented players who most of us here at CHTV have wanted the past few drafts. I'd be very excited with a couple of these players, and a 1st round, or two first round picks. The Packers will continue to thrive with or without Rodgers. No one player is bigger than the Packer organization. As a teammate of Rodgers I would be disgusted with Rodgers and would struggle to show him respect should he come back.

Being that Rodger's dumped Dannica and she sure seems upset be interesting if someone was able to get her to respond about where Rodgers head was following the Love selection. Im sure it all started there and she knows exactly what his plans and intentions were. Very interesting!

May 03, 2021 at 11:05 am

Rodgers has spoken in a way. He regretted the fact things had become public but did nothing to deny. His people are putting it out there. It’s his narrative. Of course he doesn’t want to deny or downplay or unequivocally admit to being the source.

May 03, 2021 at 12:22 pm

Don't kid yourself. Rodgers knew exactly when and what was being released. Regretted it became public - funny stuff A-Rod!

May 03, 2021 at 01:35 pm

The fact that Demovsky had some of the inside info he had on Rodgers contract coming into the new league year lends some credence to this. Before all the Watson stuff came out, it looked pretty likely Houston would trade him, and Rodgers may have been banking on being able to get traded to Houston, or possibly a multi player/pick package with Seattle since Russ has also talked about wanting out. Instead, they hold the bombshell until draft day.

No matter what, this is the kind of player GMing that I really dislike about the NBA

May 03, 2021 at 02:41 pm

I don't understand .... if Gute has chosen Love there will be a reason right? So let's go with him and exchange AR and in two years we are at SB. Where is the problem if AR wants to go ???? (sarcasm)

May 03, 2021 at 03:53 pm

Love was a back up for the future. Looks like he’s now for the now. Not ideal for Love or after the roster moves this season.

May 03, 2021 at 04:43 pm

I think Jordan Love is ready to start for the Packers. He thought he was LAST year, and said so in an interview he gave recently. Not to say he expected to, but that he felt ready the day he was drafted.

Count me as one who believes in Jordan Love being more than able to get the deal done, with a serious 3 headed monster of a rushing attack, a serious new weapon in Amari Rodgers, Add an improved D? Improved STs? No cap hell?

May 03, 2021 at 05:20 pm

After today’s release of his desire to have roster vetoes and description of the release of none other than Jake Kumerow as the final straw (presumably in order to deflect the comparisons with Favre over him), I think we see exactly why Love was drafted when he fell.

I severely doubt it was just Gute either, remember the rumor that off-season had been that Rodgers didn’t want to play for LaFleur and was not being given enough authority on the field. Now it’s not given enough authority on the roster, even to the extent of the 5th receiver.

Great though Rodgers has been, neither of those positions are compatible with a healthy franchise. May be time to let him sit and see what we have in Love unless he gets over his hubris, which seems unlikely and not recent in origin.

May 03, 2021 at 06:10 pm

Yeah, Coldworld, we have more dots to on connect than we did 1 week ago today when nearly every single one of us thought we were ready to give this SB another shot or two with Aaron Rodgers. We’ve all pretty much had our Packers world turned upside down.

We all deal with this stuff differently, and I certainly don’t begrudge another fan holding out hope for his return.

I used to work ER/TRAUMA, where decisions need to be made fast, and a quick read of possible solutions are essential. That mindset never left me, and when he went nuclear, I immediately went down a checklist of possible scenarios that might help the Packers.

Seems the team is potentially in a very good place. I’m going to try to tune out all the stories that remain to be uncovered, and words said, and focus on what we know we have, until after June 1st. I’m super confident the Green Bay Packers will be successful this season if Jordan Love gets the call.

I watched a Jordan Love workout video someone posted a week ago, and he was making every throw. Can’t remember where I saw it. He looked good, and I believe it was very recent, from a football camp called Armed and Dangerous, or something like that for anyone interested.

May 03, 2021 at 07:02 pm

Greengold, I too have retired from the medical field. I worked in respiratory care at a neonatal center for 30 years. I was at every code when called in our hospital. I was an EMT for 10 years before that. I have been a part of much "trauma". Some trauma is fatal, some recover and the good life continues. The Packer's will recover and the good life will continue. This Rodgers trauma will pass until the next emergency arises. Go Pack Go!

May 03, 2021 at 09:37 pm

Ha! I used to work NICU too! This trauma will pass with Love. #sorrynotsorry ;-))))

May 03, 2021 at 09:54 pm

Yeah blondy, I was a Respiratory Therapist as well. You understand how that stuff works

It was all scorched earth that he threw down on every Packer fan, along with the team. What can we do? Support the team. I don’t necessarily buy this “he needed to be told” stuff, but I get it as a sign of respect. I won’t speculate further, but, more went on than any of us can know. Maybe he wasn’t deserving of that kind of respect for one reason or another.

This is just batshit crazy. Didn’t think any QB could out drama queen Favre.... I can’t stand drama. Just gonna hope for the best.

May 03, 2021 at 06:23 pm

It was nice to get a big laugh from this very good Aaron Nagler post. You thought Rodgers was giving the Packer's organization the middle finger on opening draft night? Think what could have happened if the Cowboys had not re-upped Dak. Send Rodgers to Jerry Jones for an owner with all the say so and Mike McCarthy as your former favorite coach to boot! Not nice to hope the worst for a MVP QB, but the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence either.

May 03, 2021 at 07:20 pm

I'm pretty sure Rodgers regrets that Packers fans and the entire NFL now are hearing he was giving an ultimatum along the lines of "It's either me or the GM"along with a list of acceptable trading partners ... after making very deliberate attempts to paint a picture that he wants nothing more that to spend the rest of his days in Green Bay, but that's not up to him. Whoops, now everybody knows I've been manipulating the narrative to make myself look like the powerless victim and the Packers front office is set up to be the fall guy if I don't get my wishes.

This guy is a manipulative piece of work. It's the same exact game he played for years with smaller issues and Mike McCarthy where Rodgers used selective wording in a deceptive manner in attempts to blame MM for failures on the field, without 'technically' lying.

May 03, 2021 at 11:19 am

Why draft Love in the first place? A veteran is now what Gute is looking at for back up. Wasn't that the proper move before Love. Gute wanted Rodgers out. Gute made the first move. And Love sat the bench. Gute didn't want to build a winner. He wants Rodgers out. And Rodgers hasn't done anything to be called a trader. He's giving Gute what he wants. And they want to make it look like he's the trader. He's done nothing but try to make Green Bay a winner. Gute got caught in lies. It's all malice on the packers part.

May 03, 2021 at 12:28 pm

I think Gutekunst wants his handpicked QB (Love) to start and would trade Rodgers in a heartbeat, but Murphy won't let him. Murphy is afraid of his own legacy ending up in a dumpster fire if Love bombs and the team goes into a tailspin.

May 03, 2021 at 02:00 pm

Good Point! But I'm looking at why Gute was hired in the first place.

May 03, 2021 at 12:36 pm

May 03, 2021 at 04:17 pm

May 03, 2021 at 07:35 pm

May 03, 2021 at 04:39 pm

1. The extension was a PR extension. They knew Rodgers was the reason they won. 2. Murphy wanted MM gone. He showed his power and used it. Fired before the end of the season. MM had problems with management and didn't sit in the draft room. He was next to jerry the last two. 3. They traded up. they didn't let Love fall to them. A total miscalculation of Rodgers skills. Gute is not a winner. He wants power. And this is personal now. The lies are at the top. Pettine resigned. Rodgers put two and two together. Malice!

May 03, 2021 at 07:44 pm

Aren't you the guy who once argued with me that a Wide Reciever who gained a majority of his yards after the catch, wasn't a good WR because he gained the majority of his yards after the catch??

May 03, 2021 at 05:04 pm

Mark throws high and inside FOR THE STRIKE! Nice pitch, Mark! Agree 100%.

May 03, 2021 at 12:23 pm

May 03, 2021 at 08:42 pm

There is an "I" in prima donna. Also of the melodrama that they are capable of creating - always for their own benefit and often at the expense of others. I am in agreement with some of my fellow commentators - that this draft day implosion was planned. Furthermore, entirely conceived, written and directed by Rodgers (and agent). If so, what a petty and childish bit of business.

However what I find to be most reprehensible, is that they appear to have deliberately targeted draft day. This day is special for Packers fans as it is for the draftees - yet Rodgers decided to stink bomb the event. So much for his version of "love" and "respect".

I'm all for moving-on from Rodgers and his Machiavellian circus. However, to be fair, he should be at least acknowledged for his time and successes in Green Bay (prior to April 29, 2021). Thinking of a lovely parting gift - an autographed Jordan Love jersey and rookie card.

May 03, 2021 at 11:32 am

Welcome to the end of the Rodgers era in GB.

This was almost inevitable when the Pack traded up to select Jordan Love one year ago. Then he wins the MVP, Boyle is let go by the Pack, Love isn't ready to start and the dead cap money associated with a trade, combined with a depressed cap number gives AR12 maximum leverage. It was now or never. He has chosen now. IMHO, given his personality, the probability of him reversing his position and playing for GB again is less than 5% and shrinking daily. AR12 is thin skinned and obviously he wanted to even the score. As Nagler said, mission accomplished. Worse yet, he is being passive-aggressive about it and refusing to own it publicaly.

As a long time Packer fan (early Lombardi years) and a major AR fan, I say trade his ass for the best deal available, effective June 2.

Ready or not, let the Jordan Love era begin in GB. Picking early in the draft could be a good thing long term and look at all the cap money we will save.

May 03, 2021 at 12:44 pm

I think it is more like 50/50. He is being very tight-lipped while letting his people do the talking. The last quote attributed to him by a teammate was he doesn't "intend" to play in Green Bay again. That is weak sauce. That is a long way from "won't." The point of this drama was to create leverage for Rodgers because he has very little leverage right now without it. His market value can only go downhill from here. This is his moment to get a big contract from GB or someone else, and he knows it. Unfortunately for him, he still has three years left on this deal. Let the games begin. If I'm the Packers I cut a deal with him to allow him to seek a trade next off-season. Sitting on the bench for a year is not a risk-free proposition for Rodgers either.

May 03, 2021 at 01:43 pm

I think the team that would trade for him would be put in a deep hole. 38 million $$ cap hit, losing possibly 3 first round picks. That team would have slim chances of going to a Super Bowl.

May 03, 2021 at 02:24 pm

But they would make the play-offs. And it won't cost 3 picks if they want you out. They took less for #4. I believe if Rodgers was happy. He would re-work his contract. For Anybody. But the problem is the last draft. Rodgers sees all. not the PR coming out of Lambeau. I think he knew what they were going to draft before it happened. Which upset him for wasting his time and efforts.

May 03, 2021 at 02:53 pm

Completely agree with you Archie. For this it makes me even more angry that Gute (knowing about all this since the beginning of the year) has not traded him before, making sure better picks in the draft and re-signing players who now become useless expenses

May 03, 2021 at 07:52 pm

Not like anything can be considered gospel, but Gute has said this is the first he had heard of Rodgers not being willing to play if he's the GM.

I suspect Rodgers has been talking to Murphy about it.. after all, Murphy is the guy who shit-canned MM for Rodgers in 2018.

I'm also pretty sure that Murphy, who told Rodgers after firing MM "Don't be the Problem", looked back on the 2019 season and saw enough of Rodgers still being a problem that the decision was made at that time to start planning for the post-Rodgers era.

I think the plan was to trade rodgers after 2021 season, as others have noted the money works out better that way.

May 03, 2021 at 01:56 pm

May 03, 2021 at 02:02 pm

I just don't see how Rodgers has all the leverage. If the pack decides not to trade him, and he still won't play , he would lose his salary plus he would have to repay 20+ million he bonus money. That's over 50 million for acting bigger than the team. There is no shot that happens. He has a huge ego but he isn't that stupid.

May 03, 2021 at 02:23 pm

Actually, it's closer to $30 million. He can simply sit out until somewhere around the 12th week and still get an accrued season. Then he wouldn't be on the hook for this year's bonus money, but he would lose out on his weekly paychecks.

May 03, 2021 at 02:33 pm

Sounds good. But if he sat out 12 weeks, I couldn't see Green Bay telling him to report and get ready to start. There would be a new QB and the divorce would be in process.

May 03, 2021 at 05:24 pm

They aren’t required to play him. They could just make him inactive if he shows. He probably would, because if he didn’t he would forfeit a lot of money.

May 03, 2021 at 02:30 pm

I agree with you. Its a mess, and low class act preplanned by Rodgers to release shocking news on draft day. He reminds me of a scorned teen when they got dumped. Many good comments on this site, but none of us will really know the whole story. I hope this blows over and Aaron reports for training camp. This Packers team looks solid, and they could pick up a cheaper FA or two prior to week #1. Lots of competition at many positions. GPG

May 03, 2021 at 07:55 pm

The leverage is that the Packers FO would look like a bunch a big meanies who forced Rodgers into retirement (or whatever).

It's PR leverage. Rodgers is a pro at manipulating the media. It's kinda his thing.

May 03, 2021 at 02:12 pm

Its now being reported that Rodgers was pissed because the Pack cut Jake Kumerow after Rodgers praised him.

May 03, 2021 at 06:30 pm

The Kumerow angle is so beyond ridiculous, it seems more logical that Team Gute is planting the story to make Rodgers look bad.

The reason I don't suspect that is the case is because the Diva told Tirico he was not happy this rift got out there and he just loves Green Bay. So he clearly believes whatever tripe he throws out there will just ratchet up the pressure on the team. And his alleged smarts might exist on the football field and in an academic sense. But it sure ain't street smarts. So as dumb as it seems for Team Rodgers to leak this, that is exactly what I believe happened,

May 03, 2021 at 08:02 pm

I fully believe Rodgers would lose his shit if he said a player was a lock to make the team, and then he was cut the next day.

That's the type of minor slight that consumes Aaron Rodgers and drives him to madness, if we are to believe what dozens of players have recounted. He'd take it as humilating, insulting. Maybe even insolent.

May 03, 2021 at 02:15 pm

I guess Jake Kumerows 20 catches in 2 years was a big difference maker. Maybe Rodgers should have thrown to him more often.

May 03, 2021 at 02:49 pm

Can't possibly be true. According to many media sources, the Packers have failed Rodgers by not drafting a receiver in the first round. So Kumerow doesn't matter. Neither do other chumps unworthy of a first round pick, like Adams, Nelson, Driver, Jennings, Jones. With names like those, of course #12 wants out of Green Bay.

May 03, 2021 at 05:04 pm

Wonder what Aaron's family thinks about this? Do you think they should conduct a family intervention? Maybe have a bottle of scotch to entice #12. Better yet, maybe a team intervention?

May 03, 2021 at 02:46 pm

Nah that's ok. Seems like all old QBs, that are very good anyway, start to think they are GM and forget they are just players. AR has always been a headcase with his holding grudges and chips on shoulder slights.

As far as drafting WR, what's the point? By the time Rodgers trusts the new WR, AR will be gone or retired.

May 03, 2021 at 03:24 pm

I detect the strong odor of Limburger in Cheese Land.

May 03, 2021 at 04:27 pm

Yeah , it's in Rod's locker and it's brown.

May 03, 2021 at 03:26 pm

Aaron Rodgers’ curious text to Mark Schlereth after the Broncos trade report: “Who’s your source? What you hearing?” Rodgers messaged.

Curious indeed! Perhaps AR was caught off guard by a trade attempt that was made without his knowledge? Did the Pack try to set up a trade for AR prior to this draft...and not tell him?

May 03, 2021 at 04:00 pm

Oh I'm sure Gute did. He's no choir Boy. Think of the people that left when he got TTs job. You have a MVP. who will never be worth more then now. And You "traded up" for Love. It's now personal. --

May 03, 2021 at 08:05 pm

THe other people left when Gute got the job because they all wanted the Job Gute got.

There's only 32 GM jobs in the NFL. When multiple people are vying for a single spot, and you don't get it, you move on to another organization where you hopefully won't be waiting for 20 years for another crack at it.

May 03, 2021 at 03:51 pm

I will be upset and angry when I see Rodgers playing in a different uniform and like many of you and don't like the way and when he made his decision known. It sucks and it's classless. But as I've posted last week in another column here, lets consider what they did to him. They kicked him in the balls when Love was drafted, kicked him in the balls again when no wide receivers were drafted and the final straw was when they kicked in the balls when they took the football out of his hands and kicked a field goal. He did not deserve that.

May 03, 2021 at 05:10 pm

Glad Aaron never made mistakes in judgement! Should we consult Danica how he treats people? Oh, I am sure it's all her fault too. His own family?

May 03, 2021 at 05:44 pm

I did not say it is all managements' fault. Never made mistakes in judgement? Plenty of times, the last time running on third down to the almost empty end zone and choosing to pass across the field to a well cover Adams. How many times has he thrown long on third and short or held onto the ball and took a sack or held onto the ball and the clock ran out? I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm merely saying that last year they did not treat him fairly after all that he has done during his time in GB. And please don't tell me about the money they gave him. Every team would have given him that kind of money.

May 03, 2021 at 07:17 pm

May 03, 2021 at 04:22 pm

Yes! I would love to see Rodgers play for another competitive team with a decent FO. Unfortunately, Mark Murphy will never permit that to happen. I just hope that Rodgers sticks to his guns. Should be an interesting season.

May 03, 2021 at 04:16 pm

Aaron Rodgers for GM. I want a winner.

May 03, 2021 at 08:07 pm

Rodgers is a really talented shit bag.

May 03, 2021 at 04:32 pm

It appears there are a few players and some media folks who want to turn the NFL in to the NBA. It’ll be a detrimental and terrible move to elevate anyone above the future and viability of teams. Cow towing to Rogers in any way is a mistake. Rogers started this when he messed with McCarthy. The Packers and Gute owe him nothing beyond the contract he signed and the knowledge that he is the starter. What narrative will Roger’s PR team think of next? Get us draft picks in a year or get on board.

May 03, 2021 at 07:08 pm

I think Kenny Clark should join Aaron's cause after not getting any help in draft (again) and while retaining a couple of mediocre stiffs. Instead Gutey signs no less than six interior linemen in two years. He should be sued for GM malpractice. Heck, our best scouts bailed to other teams rather than give him the benefit of their labor only to see him squander it away. Rodger's didn't get excessively peeved until he saw how Gutey retained proven under-performers while letting go some of teams solid players go for a song to our division rivals. He sees the incompetence and hates that he has to be in a position to lift the team and mask Gutekunst mediocrity in building team via the draft and understanding the impact of retaining underperformers. (NOTE: the free agent haul in 2019 was exceptional when he relied on coaching staff to advise him.) Rodgers brought this to the attention of Mark Murphy and is asking Murphy to do his job and fire Gutekunst. God knows Murphy has enough ammunition to do so. It's just sad that the Packer's best player has be the bad guy and to point this out because no one else has the balls to make an assessment that is obvious to most everyone else in the NFL. Gutey is not Sherman bad but his tendency to give away picks and reach for players in early rounds for two years is causing a talent gap within the division.

My initial reaction to this mess was mostly pro-Rodgers, and as a retired CEO of a telecoms company, much of Since'61's commentaries about the importance good communication and people management skills rang true with me. The Packers FO and Gute in particular did not handle the Jordan Love situation well at all. Enough so that Gute publicly apologized.

On further reflection however, I have moved into a much more pro-Packers position. Rodgers has a long history of troubled relationships, both personal and professional. His issues with his family are well documented and past girl friends don't speak highly of him. Professionally the media reported conflicts with McCarthy his final years with the Packers and then again with LaFleur during his first year. Now he has a conflict erupting with the GM of the Packers. At some point the issue becomes Rodgers, not everyone else. Not all people can be effectively managed and communicated with. Sometimes you just have to move on.

I hope that Rodgers and the Packers can patch thing up enough to make a run with a Super Bowl worthy team. As Since'61 says - Just Win Baby! But my guess is the Jordan Love project will start earlier then expected due to the difficulties presented by our current QB1.

Did any of you actually listen to Aaron’s podcast? Get a grip. Only time will tell so maybe just have a little common sense. Half of you are trolls anyway. It would be nice to here from Aaron Rodgers.

Terry Bradshaw said the same thing about #4.. And your not a Rodgers fan anyway.

We've heard plenty from Rodgers. Not every tidbit is approved by him but most of it has been.

AR to Denver for T. Bridgewater, 2022 1st Rd., 2023 1st Rd., 2022 2nd Rd.

The Pack would be set up for the rest of the 'roaring twenties'. Make it happen 6/2/21!

"AR to Denver for T. Bridgewater, 2022 1st Rd., 2023 1st Rd., 2022 2nd Rd."

Need more for the reigning MVP. (3) 1s and a 2 but with a twist....AR to Denver for 2018 2nd (Cortland Sutton), 2019 1st (Noah Fant), 2020 1st (Jerry Jeudy) and 2022 1st.

Don't want draft picks with Rodgers able to influence whether they are late or early. Do want to gut the pass catching group that put Denver on his wish list. For Love (Jordan) and spite.

AR is simply fed up with these clowns running this organization. They do not appreciate what he brings to GB and have not done enough to get over the hump. Enjoy Jordan Love this year. Don’t know what you have until it’s gone. They are content with status quo. They really have zero interest in winning a Super Bowl!
