The calendar might already have turned over to July, but PlayStation Plus still hasn't shifted to offering up this month's new free games for subscribers just yet. Instead, those new titles joining the service will be added tomorrow on July 6. As such, today marks the final day that you can look to pick up the free PS Plus games for the month of June 2021 if you haven't done so already.
In case you needed a refresher on what is even available on PlayStation Plus right this moment, the games you can look to snag right this moment include Star Wars: Squadrons, Operation: Tango, and Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown. While all three titles are available to download for those on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 owners can only look to snag Virtua Fighter and Star Wars: Squadrons for themselves. Operation: Tango is only available to pick up exclusively for PS5 owners, which has become a pretty standard trend with this service.
There is one pretty big caveat with this last call for PS Plus in June as not all three games will be disappearing from the service beginning tomorrow. Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is actually going to be available to snag for a bit longer and won't be vanishing from PS Plus until August 2. So if you find yourself just being lazy and don't want to pick up the game right now, you'll still have more time to do so.
As for when July 2021's games will go live for PlayStation Plus subscribers, it's hard to know for certain. Typically, the transition tends to take place around midday for those in the United States, which means you can look to start picking A Plague Tale: Innocence, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and WWE 2K Battlegrounds at that time. Conversely, if you keep following our coverage here at ComicBook.com, we'll be sure to let you know once July's titles become free to download on the PlayStation Store.
So with June finally coming to a close, how did you feel about this month's rotation on PS Plus? And do you happen to think that July's games are better? Let me know your thoughts either down in the comments or hit me up on Twitter at @MooreMan12 if you'd like to chat more.

This doesn't factor in digital data or Xbox Game Pass, hence the emphasis on physical sales. However, even still, such a majority hold from one platform over the other even in physical sales is rare. It may be because it was launched on day one on the aforementioned paid service, but we still didn't see quite a split with the likes of Outriders.
Outriders still sported a hefty divide, though. PlayStation made up 83% of physical sales. Nonetheless, that still left Xbox with a decent 17% whereas here, it has a measly four. Game Pass and the pandemic could be the major contributors here, so we could see physical sales for Xbox games dwindle even further when launched on Game Pass day one in the future.
Back to Dungeons & Dragons. Dark Alliance landed in the number 23 slot in terms of sales this week. The top ten were comprised of Mario Golf: Super Rush, Fifa 21, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Minecraft (Nintendo Switch), Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Grand Theft Auto 5, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Resident Evil Village, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. As per usual, Nintendo dominated.
It's also interesting to note that Dark Alliance sold better physically on the PlayStation 5, especially when factoring in that there is a digital variant of the console and an ongoing shortage alongside the problem with scalpers. Nonetheless, plenty of people were swooping them up predominantly for the next-gen platform.
If you're deciding whether to join the swaths of people buying Dark Alliance, we reviewed it here at TheGamer, giving it a two-star review. Eric Switzer stated, "Combat feels floaty, imprecise, and awkward, but in multiplayer, it borders on unplayable."

Ever since the success of Among Us in 2020, the game has been getting ported to more consoles over the last year. The game released on the Nintendo Switch late 2020 and proved to be extremely successful in sales. Among Us was also announced to release on Xbox consoles for 2021, but the release date for Xbox is also unknown at the time of writing. While Among Us has released for Xbox Game Pass on PC, is still has yet to release for Xbox consoles as well as Xbox Game Pass on consoles.
But for PlayStation, there is now a possible lead as to when Among Us will release for both consoles. PlayStation Game Size claims that according to the game's upload in the PlayStation database the release date for both PS4 and PS5 is August 31st, 2021. However, the account also notes that this date could be a place-holder in lieu of a more precise release date which will be provided later. But for now, this is the main lead that PlayStation fans have for a release date for the game.
Among Us has received several major updates over the last few months and is on track to receive more content in the near future. Last month saw the addition of 15 player lobbies as well as the ability to have three Impostors in one game. This month's update dropping on July 7th will add a new vent cleaning task that can potentially boot out Imposters from vents. Beyond this next update, other plans in the roadmap for Among Us include a hide and seek mode and a fifth map.
While it's yet to be seen if this release date is credible or not, if this window is true, it won't be too much longer before Among Us releases on PlayStation consoles. Even if the August 31st date turns out to be a placeholder, it might still indicate a release window for not just the PlayStation version of Among Us, but also the Xbox version. Seeing how there are currently no other release dates to work off of, it's possible that Among Us could release on all of those consoles around the same time frame. Until further confirmation is given, fans will have to wait until August to find out for sure if Among Us will release on PlayStation during that month.
Among Us is available now for iOS, Android, Switch, and PC.
