Apex Legends: Emergence launches tomorrow with a new battle pass, which was revealed in a trailer this morning.

This season’s max tier rewards are reactive skins for the Volt, “Symbiotic Relationship” at tier 100 and “Fatal Injection” at tier 110. There’s plenty else to grind for throughout the season, though, including looks for Valkyrie and Horizon, among others.

Seer’s “Winged Sun” 30-30 Repeater skin is just one of the other weapon skins in the battle pass, which also includes Valkyrie’s “Temporal Scale” Flatline. There’s also several new emotes, Seer-themed loading screens, music packs, banners, and weapon charms, as players have come to expect.

The updated World’s Edge will be the main stomping grounds for the new season and has received several updates to the landscape and numerous points of interest. A lot of the changes were also focused on quality of life, like adding different flanking routes and pathways that weren’t there before.

Along with Seer and World’s Edge, the third big addition of the season will be the Rampage LMG. The weapon, invented by Rampart, is unique in that it uses thermal grenades as its source of ammunition, so be sure to pick them up while running through the battle royale.

Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence: Prowler has been confirmed to return as floor loot

GIVEMESPORT 02 August, 2021 - 11:00pm

Apex Legends season 10 is arriving this week and gamers will be intrigued to find out that the Prowler gun will return as floor loot.

When a new season arrives, we always see quite a lot of changes when it comes to weapons. This typically includes new weapons coming in, other guns being vaulted and a complete shuffle of the floor loot in Kings Canyon.

Sometimes the floor loot can be the most important start. If you find a powerful weapon straight away, you immediately increase your chances of victory.

The upcoming season in the battle royale game is set to be the best one yet, with a great new Legend, new weapons and huge changes coming to King Canyon.

The Prowler gun was one of the original weapons to be implemented as floor loot in Apex.

The submachine gun was available as either a burst gun or an automatic. It has a very good rate of fire and requires heavy ammo.

There is one slight change between this Prowler and the one that will be coming back in season 10, and that is to do with how it can be fired.

Apex Legends News, the people who told us that the gun would be returning, also reported that the Prowler would only be available as a burst-fire weapon this time around, which means they have disabled the ability to change it to an automatic.

This will definitely be a disappointment for the Apex community, as many felt the Prowler was only viable when utilised in automatic mode.

The Prowler wasn’t the best, so this news won’t excite players massively. The good point to note is that if this gun is returning then we could see other classic weapons return as well.

Apex Legends Emergence Update – Patch Notes (Today, August 3rd)

DualShockers 02 August, 2021 - 01:37pm

The Season 10 Emergence Update is a major update for the title, and it will be adding a new legend Seer, among other things. There will be several interesting changes to the map as well. Here are the complete patch notes of the update.

With microdrones and an artist’s eye, Seer spots opportunities that other Legends might miss and seizes them in the most beautiful way he can. Check out his kit in action below.

After months of aggressive mining by the Harvester on World’s Edge, the land is overmined, overburdened, and pushed to its limit. The earth has fractured and erupted as nature is reclaiming what’s hers. Hammond is scrambling to contain the damage they’ve caused using weather-controlling machines: the Climatizer rapidly cools the surrounding area to subzero temperatures, and a Lava Siphon stabilizes the caldera.Fight for control of the always-moving gondolas in Climatizer and Lava Siphon, traverse the bubbling hot lava with caution, and show everyone what Legends are made of!

Rampart’s latest creation, the Rampage LMG, blasts onto the scene and has absolutely no chill. This high-powered heavy ammo LMG takes its time but packs one hell of a punch. The Rampage excels at mid-range combat but struggles up close with a slower fire rate. Not one for just accepting weakness, Rampart managed to modify the Rampage’s internal combustion mechanism with, what else? Thermite! Loading a thermite grenade into the Rampage’s special chamber overclocks the fire rate and lets Legends go on a, well… rampage!

With the launch of the Emergence update, we’re introducing Ranked Arenas! You begin your journey through Ranked Arenas in 10 placement matches where your performance will determine your initial Match Marking Rank (MMR) and your starting rank. MMR variance is wider initially, so your first 10 matches might be stomp-or-get-stomped until your MMR defines your placement.

Arenas is a head-to-head fight between two teams of three, so awarding Ranked Arenas Points is more cut-and-dry than in the 20 team Battle Royale. This means there is no entry cost and no AP for kills. Everything comes down to getting the win.

That’s just the high level of how ranked arenas work. To learn more details on how Ranked Arenas will work check out our blog here.

This season the Prowler returns to floor loot and taking its place is the M600 Spitfire. In addition to the Spitfire this season another weapon will be joining the supply drop: the Alternator SMG. See how each weapon changes down below.

Care package changes apply to arenas: the Prowler and Rampage replace the Alternator and Spitfire in the Arenas shop.

Apex Legends bans over 2000 exploit users, 94% of which were from PS4

Sportskeeda 02 August, 2021 - 07:59am

EA's Battle Royale title, Apex Legends, has had a turbulent few months, as the cheating problem in the game ballooned out of control recently. Luckily, developer Respawn Entertainment is looking to fix this problem and has taken a lot of steps towards solving it recently.

Aside from the usual server side patches, Respawn has managed to isolate over 2000 accounts that have participated in what is known as "dashboarding" and has banned them. Here's a detailed breakdown as to what happened.

Apex Legends' Security Officer Conor Ford, better known by his online alias Hideouts, was able to share the news that Respawn Entertainment is taking action against ranked exploit users.

The exploit in question is known as dashboarding, which is the act of using a platform's behavior to gain RP loss forgiveness. For example, players on the PS4 would intentionally exit to the Sony dashboard in order to avoid rank penalties after a loss.

Out of the 2,086 guilty accounts, a surprisingly large,1,965 accounts, belonged to Sony's platform, as exiting to the dashboard was the easiest and most reliable way to prevent RP loss on the PS4.

In terms of the second exploit there was an undisclosed method that allowed players belonging to a higher rank bracket like Masters or Pred to queue against Bronze lobbies in order to gain some easy RP in Apex Legends' ranked mode.

Following up on the post, Hideouts mentioned that it is not a blanket ban and the punishment varies based on the severity of abuse:

The Apex Legends' PC user base is infamous for using exploits and hacks to gain an unfair advantage, but considering that 99% of these exploit users came from consoles, it is safe to assume that no platform is safe from cheaters.
