Braves still mulling rotation options for NLCS

The Good Phight 14 October, 2021 - 03:33pm

The Braves have the option to go with Max Fried in Game 1 and Charlie Morton in Game 2. But because Morton started on short rest on Tuesday, Snitker said they are discussing whether it would be better to push him back to Game 3,which is scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday.

If Morton is pushed back until Game 3, then Ian Anderson would get the start in the second game of the series. The Braves will also have a decision to make on a starter for Game 4.

No updates so far on Jorge Soler who tested positive for COVID-19 just before the start of Game 4 of the NLDS. The Athletic’s David O’Brien reports that Soler is expected to miss at least 10 days.

Just that he’s expected to be out at least 10 days, could miss entire NLCS. They are operating as if he’ll miss series. https://t.co/oQT8WNz4RD

Soler could be reinstated mid-series and would be allowed to return.
