Who did Katie send home?

After saying she's done with drama and relationships that are less serious, Katie hands out six roses (including one given to Justin earlier on their one-on-one date) and sends home Aaron, James, Tre and, yes, Hunter. As one of the many (and we mean, many) villains on Katie’s season, fans want to know what Bachelorette 2021 spoilers about Hunter Montgomery are out there to know when he goes home.

Hunter is one of 30-plus contestants on season 17 of The Bachelorette with Katie Thurston. Katie a 30-year-old bank marketing manager from Renton, Washington, was announced as the season 17 Bachelorette at the “After the Final Rose” special for season 25 of The Bachelor with Matt James in March. Katie was a contestant on Matt’s season and was eliminated in 10th place, which makes her one of the earliest Bachelor or Bachelorette eliminees to become the lead of her own season. (Michelle Young, a 27-year-old teacher from Edina, Minnesota, was also announced as the season 18 Bachelorette. Her season will premiere later this year.)

Katie filmed season 16 of The Bachelorette from the beginning of March to the end of April at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in New Mexico. Instead of Chris Harrison, her season was hosted by season 16 Bachelorette Tayshia Adams and season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe.

In her Bachelor bio for Matt’s season, Katie said that she wants a man who is as “daring and adventurous” as she is. “Katie knows exactly what she wants in a man and is done wasting her time on boys who won’t live up to her expectations,” her bio read. “She is a witty storyteller who says when she finds someone worth committing to, she is the most loving and committed partner anyone could ask for. Katie is daring and adventurous.”

Her bio continued, “While Katie is serious about finding her person, she needs a man who can laugh along with her but is okay with him laughing at her too when the moment calls for it. Katie is looking for a mature man who has ambitions to succeed in everything he does, both personally and professionally. Her dream man will be passionate about building a long-term life with her and will treat Katie as his equal in the relationship. Nothing turns her off more than someone who sits around playing video games all day or a man who tries to kiss her at the inopportune moment … it’s all about creating the right vibe with Katie!”

From the looks of it, Hunter isn’t The One to the men. In fact, he isn’t even friends with most of them. But what does Katie think of him? Ahead are The Bachelorette 2021 spoilers about Hunter that we know so far.

Hunter is a 34-yer-old from Houston, Texas, so he’s not too much older than Katie. According to his Bachelorette bio, Hunter considers himself as an “expressive, passionate and outgoing person.” He’s also a father two sons, whom he doesn’t share much on his social media, from a previous relationship. This makes him one of multiple fathers on Katie’s season. Michael A. also has a child.

“Hunter is an expressive, passionate and outgoing person who does not believe in holding back,” Hunter’s bio reads. “He is a father of two amazing children who he lives to make happy. Hunter has always been a romantic and says that even as a child, he was known for writing incredible love letters and always being the guy to surprise his crushes with mix tapes or flowers. He is looking for a woman to be his other half – someone who is compassionate, witty, great at communicating and, above all, someone who could love his kids as much as he does. Hunter says that he will never stop believing in romance because ‘when you hit the mark, there really is no better feeling.’ He hopes to find someone to stare off into the stars with for the rest of his life, so let’s see if he and Katie can go the distance!”

For his fun facts, Hunter listed the following:

– One of Hunter’s favorite past times is people-watching.

Hunter made himself an enemy of the men toward the middle of Katie’s Bachelorette season after his competitiveness became too much for the contestants to handle. The turn for the worse started with Hunter after he tackled Michael A. so hard in a game of Bachelorette Bash Ball that Katie cancelled the game. He went on to earn the Group Date Rose on that date, which also annoyed some of the men. But most of the cast turned on Hunter at the Rose Ceremony, where Hunter stole Katie aside despite already having a rose. The move caused a lot of drama with the guys, who accused Hunter of being disrespectful to his fellow housemates.

According to his Bachelorette bio, Hunter works as a software strategist. According to his Linkedin, his passion is “helping companies revolutionize, automate, and grow through technology and best practice solutions.”

“I am a customer-centric business professional with over 12 years of experience making organizations and teams successful in every aspect,” he writes on his Linkedin. “My passion is helping companies revolutionize, automate, and grow through technology and best practice solutions. I utilize proven frameworks and best of breed solutions and tools in order to help enable teams, scale growth, and manage change throughout organizations. I seek out any opportunity to mentor and coach those around me, and strive to motivate my peers and team members on a constant basis. I have an OBSESSION with customer success, practice consistent communication, and fiercely compete to be the best version of myself.”

According to his Linkedin, Hunter also works in industries like mud/wastewater operations, metal/steel manufacturing, education, healthcare, downstream oil and gas, chemicals, field services, healthcare, manufacturing and supply chain. Hunter also works in the addiction and recovery space. He’s been opened about his past substance use on his Instagram and shared a pin 2017 celebrating 10 years of sobriety. Per his Linkedin, he specializes in recovery coaching and interventions. His current job is as an ERP Deployment Strategist at Workday in Houston. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a major in finance and a minor in psychology.

So…does Hunter win The Bachelorette? No, he doesn’t. The winner is Blake Moynes, a 30-year-old wildlife manager from Ontario, Canada, who became a surprise contestant on Katie’s season in episode 4. As Bachelor Nation members know, Blake was also a contestant on season 16 of The Bachelorette with Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams, where he was eliminated in ninth place. According to Reality Steve, Blake proposed to Katie at the Final Rose Ceremony, and they’re engaged and still together.

As for who else makes it to the end of Katie’s season, Reality Steve reports that her four finalists who receive Hometown Dates are: Andrew Spencer, a 26-year-old pro football player from Vienna, Austria; Justin Glaze, a 26-year-old investment sales consultant from Baltimore, Maryland; Greg Grippo, a 27-year-old marketing sales representative from Edison, New Jersey; and Blake. Wait, Turns Out Brendan Scanzano Was Friends With Blake Before He Joined ‘The Bachelorette’

Yahoo Lifestyle 13 July, 2021 - 04:36am

In case you haven’t been paying any attention whatsoever to Brendan while he’s been on TV, here’s a little bit about his personality (plus what he’s looking for in a relationship) from whoever’s tasked with writing ABC’s slightly unhinged contestant bios:

“Brendan is the type of guy who always enjoys life to the fullest. He is currently in the process of becoming a full-time firefighter. Brendan takes a lot of pride over this goal and is excited to make a positive difference in his community. While Brendan’s professional life is exactly where he wants it, he still dreams of adding a little fire to his personal life. In his partner, Brendan is looking for good back-and-forth banter, a sense of adventure, and an open mind. He has no specific deal breakers but says that he loves being clean and organized and hopes to find a woman who feels the same. He is a straight shooter and says that nothing makes him happier than putting a smile on the face of the woman he loves. Brendan says he is in a great spot in his life to go on this journey and try and find his perfect match!”

Not professionally or anything, but hockey is definitely one of his hobbies. Brendan actually chatted about this in his Bachelorette intro, saying his dad wanted him to pursue a career in hockey (Canada, eh), but ultimately, he didn’t love it enough and decided to put his time and effort into being a firefighter.

Reality Steve reported this news way back when Katie’s season was first being cast, and there are actually pictures of Blake Moynes on Brendan’s Insta. Like, it looks as though they straight-up play on a hockey team together? Curious!

Sorry to break this news to all you Brendan fans, but our dude does not win Katie’s season. In fact, he doesn’t even make it to the final four. Major spoiler, but Katie’s actual winner? That’d be Brendan’s buddy Blake. Kinda makes you think what could have happened if he didn’t join the show, huh!

At least, not as far as we know (ABC will be adding more contestants to the mix, so stay tuned). Which means this could be the last time you ever see Brendan on reality TV again. That is, unless ABC decides to make him their next Bachelor, which...I guess could happen?

The real roses this Bachelorette season were the friends the guys made along the way

The A.V. Club 13 July, 2021 - 04:36am

This episode pretty much perfectly displayed the affection among (again, most) of the remaining 12 guys. First they were unable to even come up with anything at the drag-queen themed roast about anyone except Hunter, because honestly, how could you come up with something mean to say about Greg? Or Michael A? And I think Hunter didn’t retaliate not because he was trying to show Katie what a good guy he is, but because he wasn’t clever enough to come up with anything. (How cute was Michael A getting so psyched over those queens though, loved it. Also, I thought the challenge was going to be to have the men dress up in drag, which would have been fun.)

The Justin date was just kind of a snoozefest, and bizarre to boot. What is pushing Justin and Katie into a fake wedding supposed to prove? The Connor date, in comparison, was riveting, but for some pretty awful reasons, depending on how much you liked Connor. It was nice to see Jason again (from Becca’s season!) and it’s clear that he and Kaitlyn have an enviable chemistry that Kate and Connor just lacked (just like Kate and Matt, actually). Unfortunately, Connor was not aware of this on his end. If Katie just wasn’t feeling it, she was right to break up with him and to be honest about it, but his “How bad of a kisser am I anyway?” despair was soul-crushing.

Fortunately, spirits were soon lifted by seeing all the guys say goodbye to Connor. We’ve seen a lot of people leave mid-date on this show, so I’m sure this has happened before, but it was nice to see Connor get to say his farewells to the many friends he’d made. The kiss on the cheek he got from pure heart Michael A almost killed me, and even Aaron was surprisingly emotional. Katie Thurston tweeted out shots of all the guys hugging Connor with the caption: “This over drama,” and I fee like that is what I’ve been saying over the course of several Bachelor/Bachelorette seasons. Yes, they’re all competing for the same person, but they don’t have to all hate each other while they’re doing it, and it’s a lot less painful to watch when they don’t.

Godspeed, Connor. Somewhere out there is a cat lady who is sure to fall for you. Katie was also appropriately devastated by Connor’s departure, as it was a tough decision for her, but Blake’s late-night visit just proved her point: If you don’t have mad passion, especially at the beginning, what’s the point?

Although now, with Hunter leaving, we might finally have a no-bad-apples bunch left for Katie. I am shocked she picked fire fighter Brendan—have we ever even seen the two of them talk?—but am relieved that she got rid of Hunter straightaway. Also not seeing the appeal of the virginal Mike P, so my pic for the Top 5 (I can’t just pick 4, but I will not lie about this list, unlike Hunter): Andrew S, Justin, Blake, Greg, Michael A. I really could see Greg going the whole way, but we will find out over this last handful of weeks.

Only one thing was disturbing about Katie’s final picks: It seemed like she killed all the messengers. James, Tre, Aaron: They all tried to warn her about unscrupulous guys in the past. And they’ve been right. By Katie pointedly getting rid of all of them, there’s some kind of “snitches get stitches” (or, a ride home in the limo) lesson to be learned here.

I am also unsure about Katie’s WOWO (week off from whack off) challenge that kicked off the episode. The point may be to show Katie who the master of their domain is, but it also just seemed kind of mean and pointless. But it was almost worth it for the aftermath of Blake’s visit to Katie, complete with do not disturb sign and perfectly timed sprinklers. Bravo, editors, and really, well done all around for an extremely satisfying Bachelorette episode.

Chris Harrison’s Replacements Named For Michelle Young’s Season of ‘The Bachelorette’

Heavy.com 12 July, 2021 - 07:36am

Katie Thurston had some “girl power” during her season of “The Bachelorette,” and it sounds like her predecessor will, too.

Months after former ABC leads Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams replaced outgoing host Chris Harrison on Thurston’s season of the show, spoiler king Reality Steve Carbone has revealed that the duo will also host Michelle Young’s upcoming season of the ABC dating show later this year.

Reality Steve wrote on Twitter: “(BACHELORETTE HOST UPDATE): Kaitlyn and Tayshia will be returning to co-host Michelle’s season of the ‘Bachelorette’ when it begins filming later this month. I’ll have some filming updates, locations, and timelines in my column on Tuesday.”

ABC has not yet confirmed Reality Steve’s “Bachelorette” update.

While Bristowe and Adams haven’t spoken publicly about their back-to-back “Bachelorette” gigs, on Instagram, Bristowe hinted that she was leaving her Nashville home for something soon. Months after heading to a New Mexico resort to film Thurston’s season of the ABC dating show, the “Dancing With the Stars” champ posted a photo of her with her dogs with the caption, “Another day, another tennis ball-inspired outfit to make the dogs happy. I have to leave them for a little while and I’m feeling super super emotional.”

Fans were also feeling super emotional about the hosting news. In response to Reality Steve’s post, some fans were happy to hear that Bristowe and Adams will be back, but others slammed the idea of the returning hosting duo.

“So the producers watched their performances and said we must have some more of this next time,” one viewer asked on Twitter.

“Ugh i hate the dynamic tbh,” another added. “It’s not like some slumber party and it reads on screen that way.”

“Bring Chris Harrison back!” a third viewer demanded. “Having two girls do his job just is not working well. They definitely don’t need two people doing it!!!”

Bristowe previously opened up about her expected role as a “Bachelorette” host and mentor. During an episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, she raved about how Thurston had the “support system of having two women there.”

“One thing we kept saying is, ‘My gosh, it would have been so nice to have this when we were the Bachelorette, to have women who have been in our shoes before come in and be there,’” Bristowe said, per People. “If it’s just a shoulder to cry on, if it’s you need advice, if you’re feeling alone in it or if you’re feeling like you can’t do it, which we all feel at a certain point.”

Adams told E! News that she and Bristowe formed a close bond with Thurston in a way that Harrison couldn’t relate to.

“It was the ultimate girl gang, if you will,” she said. “Every time [Katie] needed us we were always kind of right around the corner and ready to help her. But it was so great to be able to be there with her because if there’s ever been a time for a Bachelorette to have somebody as a mentor behind the scenes, so this was something that was really special for her and I hope that we helped her out.”

Reality Steve Says Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe Are Hosting Michelle Young’s ’Bachelorette’ Season

Cosmopolitan 12 July, 2021 - 06:58am

Happy news from the world of Bachelor Nation: Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are reportedly hosting Michelle Young’s upcoming season of The Bachelorette—at least according to Reality Steve. The longtime Bachelor spoiler source tweeted, “Kaitlyn and Tayshia will be returning to cohost Michelle’s season of the ‘Bachelorette’ when it begins filming later this month. I’ll have some filming updates, locations, and timelines in my column on Tuesday.”

(BACHELORETTE HOST UPDATE): Kaitlyn and Tayshia will be returning to co-host Michelle’s season of the “Bachelorette” when it begins filming later this month. I’ll have some filming updates, locations, and timelines in my column on Tuesday.

I mean YES TO THIS, but just FYI, Variety reporter Elizabeth Wagmeister followed up Steve’s tweet with a clarification that “as of this moment, no contacts have been signed” with her sources saying that negotiations are “ongoing.” So...it looks like things are still slightly TBD?

But still, good to know that ABC is working to bring Tayshia and Kaitlyn back as hosts since they’ve been doing such a good job this season—and it sounds like the crew enjoyed working with them too! As a source told Us Weekly during filming, “Tayshia and Kaitlyn can relate to Katie’s journey in a lot of different ways, which you’ll see play out, so it was nice to have them there to help out with whatever situation came up. Tayshia had fun and loved doing it. She and Katilyn made a great team.”

Meanwhile, another source told the outlet, “Tayshia and Kaitlyn have had to learn how to cohost and it’s taken time. They’re lovely to work with and they get along with the crew. It’s just completely different with them cohosting.”

Cool-cool-cool. And P.S. before we go—did anyone else catch that Reality Steve’s tweet said locations plural? Sounds like Michelle’s season could be back on a regular Bachelorette travel schedule, so stay tuned for more info!
