Who wins the Veto competition on Big Brother?

Big Brother recap: Anonymous HOH makes for a very interesting veto competition. Sunday's episode of Big Brother saw the final power in the High Rollers Room be used, as Claire won the secret competition and became the new, anonymous HOH, dethroning Tiffany. It was the endurance challenge that wasn’t.

At a mere 37 minutes into the Head of Household competition we had a winner on the live feeds.

In the challenge that began on the live eviction show the houseguests had to hang onto ropes as they swung around into barriers and were squirted with slime and water. The last one standing or swinging would be the new HoH.

Derek dropped off during the last commercial break. He lasted only a few minutes.

Alyssa was the next to drop just as the live show ended at six minutes and nine seconds into the challenge.

Claire, who had to throw the challenge because she was the Secret HoH last week, fell at 20 minutes and 16 seconds. Hannah left the challenge just seconds later at approximately 21 minutes.

That left Cookout members Xaiver, Azah, Kyland and Tiffany. Xavier dropped suddenly at 22 minutes in and Azah followed him at 24 minutes.

Kyland finally relented at 37 minutes and 47 seconds giving Tiffany her second HoH reign of the season. Tiffany was HoH last week but Claire usurped her as the Secret HoH.

It was Sarah Beth, the forensic scientist from Florida, who became the third juror on the live eviction show. Tiffany was the only vote for her to stay.

Host Julie Chen-Moonves announced that the next two live eviction shows will be double eviction episodes.

Evicted Housguest: 'I Shouldn't Have Shown My Cards' - globaltv

Global 03 September, 2021 - 02:40pm

They were inseparable during the last few weeks but houseguest Sarah Beth Steagall insists that she and Kyland are just good friends.

“He really reminded me of some really good friends that I have outside of the house. So I definitely felt drawn to him and we continued to develop a friendship over the show that I feel is pretty strong, at least on my part, even though I know that he was lying to me about some things. I still think of him as a good friend and I want to remain friends outside of the house,” said the forensic scientist from Florida who admits she is still rooting for Kyland to win the game.

Sarah Beth leaned heavily on Kyland not just as a friend but as an ally too especially when she and Christian were nominated by Derek Xiao during Week Five. It is something Sarah Beth regrets now.

“I shouldn’t have shown my cards with how much I relied on Kyland during the fifth week because that made it really obvious just how close we were and that I was most loyal to him in the house. I think after that point I did just kind of stuck with Kyland and what I should have done is continued to work on and reaffirm the other relationships that I’d made with houseguests throughout the house. That could have at least prolonged my game a little bit longer,” she said.

Of the people still left in the game Sarah Beth believes that Xavier is playing the best game.

“I think he’s part of a secret alliance and I think he has really good connections with people outside of the secret alliance. I think he’s set up to make it to a final two seat,” she said of the attorney from Milwaukee.

At the opposite end of the spectrum Sarah Beth doesn’t think Claire has much of a chance to make it to the finale.

“I don’t really blame it on her but I think Claire’s in the worst position right now because I don’t think she’s in the secret alliance. I think she’s similar to me where she really doesn’t know that it exists. She’s in a lot of danger to be picked off right now,” she said.

Sarah Beth will be joining Derek Xiao and Britini D’Angelo in the jury house. Although Derek Xiao did put her on the block and she returned the favour two weeks later, Sarah Beth isn’t worried about reuniting with Derek.

“I think we got along just fine on a game level and it stinks to think that he’s probably going to be pretty happy to see me follow him right into the jury house. That might be a little bit awkward but you know, it is what it is and I’ll deal with it,” she said.

Forensic scientist Sarah Beth Steagall came into the house claiming she was a voice actress. But despite her choice in fabricated career, she had difficulty having her voice be heard early on. While she made an incredibly close connection with Kyland Young early on, it wasn’t as easy on her Kings team. When her quartet gained power at Christian Birkenberger’s HoH, she made a push to go after Hannah Chaddha, feeling she was a stealth threat for the endgame. Unfortunately, she lost the battle of arguments to her teammate Xavier Prather, who was part of the secret “Cookout” alliance with Hannah. And over the course of the next month, she would also lose the war.

Since the moment she went after Hannah, Sarah Beth was on the Cookout’s radar, especially Tiffany Mitchell’s But on Day 44, her balance skills made her HoH, with the possibility of throwing the entire game off-balance for the Cookout. But Kyland was able to get in her ear, pushing that she backdoor Derek Xiao as a competition threat. She complied, eager to get revenge on the person who nominated her a couple of weeks prior. Unfortunately, her big move came back to bite her in a big way when Derek X.’s allies took a clean sweep of competitions the next week. Tiffany won and gleefully nominated SB next to Kyland. Though she lost her HoH reign, it was to Claire Rehfuss, who kept the nominations the same. And Hannah edged out a veto win to guarantee she stood on the block. It was a rough week for Sarah Beth, leaving her more emotionally distraught than an audience during a viewing of Dear Evan Hansen. And like the titular character, she soon found herself “waving through a window” (or door) to her fellow houseguests on the way out.

Now on the way to the jury house, Sarah Beth talks with Parade.com about the reaction to her various goodbye messages, how she looks back on her decision to backdoor Derek X., and what her plan would have been had she stayed in the house.

Of course, I already felt at that point people were targeting Kyland and me. I knew any time we weren’t in power, we were probably going to be sitting in the nomination chairs beside each other. At the time, I didn’t know about the secret alliance, of course. So, from my perspective, it did seem much more dangerous for me to be nominated next to Kyland with Derek X. in the house, because Derek X. had a lot of influence over the players he was close to. It would have been infinitely better for his game to send me home instead of Kyland.

It makes a lot of sense to me, and I support it. Even if it is disappointing to think, even if I had stayed in the game and made it to the Final 2, I likely would not have won this season. Obviously, I really wanted to win! Also, in a way, it makes me feel relieved because I was rooting for Kyland, and I still think he does have a chance to win this season. If there are still people working with him and supporting him, it means his odds are way better than I thought when I was initially evicted. That makes me happy.

Big Brother 23 Live Feeds: Tiffany Won HOH Again. Find Out Her Targets

Screen Rant 02 September, 2021 - 08:31pm

Along with Tiffany, the Cookout alliance on Big Brother season 23 includes Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young, and Xavier Prather. This formation was intentional, with all six of those houseguests agreeing that they needed to make history on the show. The game has now reached its Final 8, with all six Cookout allies still in the house. They only have to evict two more people for the entire alliance to reach Final 6, which has always been their big master plan.

Now, Tiffany has become the ninth HOH of Big Brother 23. Given how close the Cookout is to getting all six of its alliance members into the Final 6, it is a pretty safe bet that they'll target the only two non-Cookout members still left in the house: Claire and Alyssa. Tiffany and Claire have been good friends throughout this season, whereas Xavier developed a deeper bond with Alyssa following the eviction of her showmance partner, Christian Birkenberger. Nonetheless, Tiff and X seem ready and willing to evict either one of those two women this week.

This should be yet another exciting week of gameplay on BB23. The Cookout will be imploding any minute now, but it seems unlikely that they'll take shots at one another before the Final 6. With that said, "expect the unexpected."

Big Brother 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST/PST on CBS.

Will Hannah's Arm Injury Keep Her From Winning Season 23 of 'Big Brother'?

Distractify 02 September, 2021 - 06:56pm

Sep. 2 2021, Published 7:56 p.m. ET

Season 23 of Big Brother is well underway, and the remaining contestants have their eye on the prize. So far, there are quite a few frontrunners in the game, including but not limited to Hannah, who describes herself as “calculated, composed, and versatile.” And we’re inclined to agree.

Hannah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at only 19 years old and continues her education while she pursues a career as a professional dancer. As a former personal stylist, Hannah is a jack of many trades that Houseguests should not underestimate.

On recent episodes of Big Brother, Hannah’s castmates have been referring to her as Chaddha, but what's the reason behind that? It's simpler than you think.

Fans might not know that Chaddha isn't just a nickname — it's her surname. Many Big Brother contestants get nicknames, like how Derek Frazier is Big D this season. But Hannah's nickname is simply her last name.

Although the 21-year-old Chicago native was introduced by her first name in the Season 23 premiere, she later told Houseguests that she prefers to be called by her last name — Chaddha.

The Cookout has caused quite a bit of controversy on this season of Big Brother, and it’s clear that Chaddha is a force to be reckoned with. Early in the game, she became a fan favorite, and many viewers are hoping that she survives long enough to compete in the Season 23 finale.

“Tiffany and Hannah are everything I’ve ever wanted in a player in Big Brother. Kind, fierce, intelligent, hilarious, and ruthless gamers. I could not stan harder,” one Big Brother fan tweeted.

More than halfway through the season, both Tiffany Mitchell and Xavier Prather expressed that they would be glad to lose to Hannah, who social media is calling a “strategic beast.” But Chaddha may have just stunted her chances of winning the $750,000 prize. So, what happened to Hannah Chaddha’s arm?

Risks are the name of the game when it comes to Big Brother, where Houseguests never know how dangerous the next competition may be, but Chaddha recently suffered an injury that could take her out of the game for good.

On Aug. 31, footage from the Big Brother live feeds revealed that Chaddha was sporting what appeared to be a splint, which we now know was the result of an unfortunate hammock accident. It’s unclear whether her presumably sprained wrist will heal in time for the season finale, but fans are rooting for Chaddha’s recovery.

“Growing up only half-Black has sometimes been a struggle to navigate in many areas. So the things Hannah Chaddha shares on Big Brother and her place in the Cookout has done so much for me. I love you girl,” one fan tweeted.

You can see Chaddha on new episodes of Big Brother on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m EST on CBS.
