Warzone’s Season 4 Reloaded update includes significant balancing changes to a number of weapons, including AMAX, C58, SMGs, and more.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is here, and the team at Raven Software have included made some major changes to the weapons and weapon balancing within Verdansk, with buffs and nerfs for a number of guns across Modern Warfare & Cold War inventory.

Raven Software’s goal is to keep the weapon meta and balancing fresh as part of new updates, allowing more weapons to shine. As first teased with the Season 4 patch notes, Raven has been working to make adjustments to the overall time to kill in Warzone with weapon balancing, and this is fine.

With the launch of the Season 4 Reloaded patch in Warzone on July 15, Raven Software has made a number of adjustments to the weapons in the game, across both Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons.

Raven’s blog describes how they decided to make changes for Season 4 reloaded.

The following changes are our first major step towards increasing the average Time-to-Kill within Warzone. It is important to note that these Weapon adjustments were not made in a vacuum. When evaluating an individual change, some may seem quite drastic, but they were made holistically and in a way that supported a lock-step increase in average TTK across multiple Weapon categories.

Here’s all of the weapons that Raven Software has adjusted in Warzone with the Season 4 Reloaded update.

Raven Software has made numerous changes to assault rifles, both Modern Warfare and Cold War, in the Season 4 Reloaded patch update.

The newest update includes more nerfs (and a slight buff) for Modern Warfare’s AMAX and a nerf for the Cold War’s C58 rifle.

Other Assault Rife changes in Season 4 Reloaded include buffs for the GRAU, Krig, M13, and QBZ weapons in game. This should make some of the lower performing Assault Rifles more accessible in Warzone.

Raven Software has made numerous adjustments to Warzone’s LMG offerings to allow for better utilization of some of the weapons.

The LMG changes effect both MW and Cold War LMG guns, as Raven looks to bring the weapons in line with the rest of the classes in game. The M60 and PKM received buffs in the newest update, while the others were nerfed.

Season 4 Reloaded weapon changes continued with changes to the SMG weapon class in Warzone.

This update includes changes to Modern Warfare’s SMG Alpha, Cold War’s Ak-74u, LC-10, KSP, and more.

Some of the weapons in the SMG class received buffs, like the UZI, while the rest saw nerfs across the ranges, including nerfs to the MAC-10, MP5, and Nail Gun.

The Season 4 Reloaded update also includes some minor changes to the Cold War’s Swiss Sniper Rifle, along with changes to the headshot multiplier for the Tactical Rifles.

Raven has confirmed they will continue to monitor weapon balancing in Warzone closely and see how these Season 4 Reloaded updates effect the meta.

The Season 4 Reloaded patch notes saw the Warzone devs tease the addition of two new perks for the battle royale and a major High Alert buff.

The Warzone community has been anxiously awaiting the release of the Season 4 Reloaded update patch notes, as players have been curious about what changes Raven Software will be making for the Call of Duty battle royale when the update goes live at 9 PM PST on July 14.

Players were not disappointed when the patch notes went live, as they contained a plethora of major changes and updates for the game that will undoubtedly make huge changes, such as various weapon buffs and nerfs.

The Season 4 Reloaded update patch notes also contained teases for adding two new Warzone-specific perks and a huge buff to the High Alert perk that will undoubtedly make players very happy when they all arrive.

There is no denying that perks are some of the most powerful things in the world of Warzone and can be the difference between winning or losing.

However, many players have grown tired of the perks in the game since it was released and have felt that there needed to be a revamp or new ones added to switch the Warzone perk meta up.

Raven Software looks to have heard this feedback loud and clear, as the development studio teased in the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes that it will be adding two new perks to the battle royale in the future.

We are excited to share that we are planning the debut of two new Warzone-specific Perks,” stated Raven Software. Unfortunately, the developers did not share a timetable for when players can expect to see these new Warzone perks make their debut.

Another major criticism that players have had recently is that they feel the Dead Silence field upgrade is too common and too powerful to make players silent when they run.

Seeing that there was no way to counter Dead Silence, Raven Software revealed in the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes that an upcoming change would be made to the High Alert perk.

High Alert will also be receiving an update that allows players to hear Dead Silent footsteps,” stated Raven. This change will undoubtedly make High Alert an extremely popular choice, as it already allows players to see which direction enemies from outside their field of view are aiming at them from.

There is no doubt that the tease of the new Warzone perks and the major High Alert buff are two of the biggest things that will have the community talking from the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes.

Here’s everything new in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, including patch notes, weapon updates, new content, and more.

Season 4 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Warzone includes the continuation of the Season 4 Battle Pass with 100 Tiers to progress through, alongside the first ever objective based game mode, Payload and new weapons to equip.

Raven Software has posted the patch notes for the new update. The new update will go live on July 14 at 9PM PT / 12AM ET on July 15 on all platforms with the Season 4 Reloaded content.

Black Ops Cold War’s Season 4 update went live on July 14, with patch notes for that update available.

Note: PC users will also need 12.4-12.9 GB of additional space on their hard drive for the patch copying process; this is only temporary space that is reclaimed upon completion of the patch installation and is not an additional download.

Similar to Double XP weekends, we will start activating a new special global Event where Contraband Contracts automatically spawn after you complete two regular Contracts. Contraband Contracts award you with a permanent Weapon Blueprint reward if you’re able to extract it from the DZ, in addition to tons of Cash within your current match.

Blueprint Blitz should give you the opportunity to earn plenty of Weapon Blueprints from prior seasons. If you missed out or didn’t play Warzone during the time these were originally available, Contraband Contracts award you with previous Seasonal rewards after you complete the Contract.

Note: This Event will only apply to the core BR and Plunder modes.

Warzone’s first-ever objective-based game mode – Payload – pits two teams of 20 Players against each other in a race against time. Players drop in to escort two caravans of vehicles through a series of Checkpoints or sabotage the mission. Build or destroy barriers and purchase buildings to aid in your squad’s mission, and be sure to collect any Contracts you find around Verdansk as they will help lead to success. If the attacking team escorts all vehicles across all Checkpoints within the time limit, they win the match. The defending team can not only pick attackers off the payload vehicles to slow them down, but also buy and build obstacles to stall these vehicles on the tracks. This all happens as Operators are dropping in constantly with their own custom loadouts, searching for items across Verdansk like Cash and Killstreaks to aid their team in escorting or stopping the Payloads.

Look for Payload in the upcoming Featured Playlist Rotation as part of Season Four Reloaded.

The following new features focus on three primary areas of accessibility: Hard of HearingBlind/Low-Vision, and Cognitive Overload.

A new gameplay video for the upcoming Warzone Payload game mode showed off the unreleased CX-9 SMG from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The Season 4 Reloaded update is not bringing a great deal of new content to the world of Warzone, with two of the biggest additions officially coming being the new Sentry Gun killstreak and Payload game mode.

However, a new gameplay video showing off footage of the Payload game mode in action released by Treyarch Studios has injected a great deal of excitement in the community, as it surprisingly showed off a character using the unreleased Modern Warfare CX-9 SMG.

Players are likely to remember when the unreleased Modern Warfare SMG could be found as legendary loot in the Call of Duty battle royale with no official announcements regarding its addition.

This weapon was then removed from the game, and there has been no official word of it coming back to Modern Warfare or Warzone by any of the development studios.

However, it looks as though there could be some hope of the Warzone CX-9 SMG possibly being added sometime following the Season 4 Reloaded update thanks to a new video published by Treyarch Studios diving into the new content coming to the Call of Duty battle royale in Season 4 Reloaded.

The footage in question starts at the 8:15 minute mark of the video, where the gameplay of the new Payload game mode starts to play.

Several scenes follow, showing off a character using the unreleased Warzone CX-9 SMG to fight enemy players.

Now, there was no official mention of the Warzone CX-9 SMG being added in the Season 4 Reloaded update in the roadmap for all of the new content coming to the battle royale.

The only SMG announced to be arriving in the game with this new update is the OTs 9, so the inclusion of the unreleased Modern Warfare weapon would indeed be a huge surprise that would likely be met with plenty of excitement from the community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - All the Zombies Content in Season 4 Reloaded

GameRant 15 July, 2021 - 10:03am

Some much-needed balancing changes have seen Sniper Rifles and melee weapons buffed, while Zombie health has been nerfed in the high rounds. A Dynamic Wall Buy mechanic has been added, too, with wall weapons now moving up in weapon rarity as the rounds progress. Alongside these important balancing changes, Treyarch is introducing a new Wonder Weapon, perk, and equipment piece, with more PlayStation exclusive content also on the way. For the first time in a while, the Zombies community has a lot of fresh content to dig into.

From a story perspective, players can expect to have a different voice guiding them through the map’s main mission. Instead of Weaver, Requiem’s agents will be following the orders of Kravchenko. Having captured Requiem after Outbreak’s Season 4 quest was complete, the Omega leader is forcing them to assassinate a traitor named Valentina. With the Omega turncoat’s goal being to open the Dark Aether and let a Nazi army back into Berlin, working with Omega certainly seems more appealing than the alternative.

As is the case with any Call of Duty Zombies map, the Wonder Weapon will surely play a big role in its popularity. Fortunately, it Mauer Der Toten’s CRBR-S lives up to the hype, as it offers some fun ways to slay the undead. Pronounced Cerberus, the gun gets its name from the three barrels that gamers can use to upgrade it. In its default form, it is a fully automatic energy pistol that has a companion sphere which will fire alongside the player. The CRBR-S also has a shotgun-like form, a seeker rocket form, and a laser form. While some are undoubtedly better than others, all are fun to test out.

Mule Kick’s perk tiers in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are as follows.

Alongside a new perk, Season 4 Reloaded is adding an extra piece of equipment for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players to make use of. This takes the form of the LT53 Kazimir tactical grenade. However, while it may boast a new name, its functionality is the exact same as the Gersh Device that debuted on Ascension. Once players throw the Kazimir, it will suck all nearby Zombies inside, killing them instantly. Players will also be able to jump through the black hole themselves, teleporting to a random spot somewhere on the map. While this is risky, the Kazimir should still serve as a solid get out of jail free card for gamers that find themselves stuck in a bad position.

Alongside a new weapon blueprint challenge, a variant of the Zombie Onslaught mode called Onslaught Accelerated. This mode directly addresses complaints of Onslaught being too slow, as Zombies will spawn in endlessly. The Dark Aether Orb is constantly moving, and killing enemies will only make it move faster, ensuring that players never stop moving during Onslaught Accelerated. While this may not be as exciting as Mauer Der Toten, it does seem like a nice bonus for PlayStation owners.

On the smaller side of things, the heavily underrated Dead Ops Arcade 3 will be getting a new playlist. First Person Solo Advanced Start allows players to play the first person version of the arcade game on their own, keeping their progress upon reaching a new location. With both First Person and Advanced Start being less difficult than regular Dead Ops, combining the two should make for the easiest experience yet. As such, Reunited with Fidolina may not be one of Call of Duty’s hardest trophies for much longer. A “Mama’s Armory Basket” drop has also been teased, though it is unclear what it will do. New Zombies challenges and story intel round out the long list of additions, ensuring that there is plenty to do until Season 5 begins.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
