Is Emboar good Pokemon go?

Emboar does better in PvE content like raids and gyms as a fighting-type attacker. Give it Low Kick and Focus Blast to make it punch away your problems. It's fine as fire-type attacker, but it's pretty far from the best. If you want to use it with its Community Day move, give it Ember and Blast Burn. polygon.comPokémon Go Tepig Community Day moveset and event guide

While the month only just began it’s already time for Tepig Community Day and its ticketed Roasted Berries Special Research in Pokémon GO. This set of tasks and rewards will serve to enhance the day’s event, focusing on the featured Pokémon Tepig. If you complete them all you will end up with quite a few worthwhile items. While you have an unlimited amount of time to complete it, you’ll want to finish it during Tepig Community Day since it will be much easier. To help here’s all of the Roasted Berries research tasks and rewards in Pokémon GO.

Listed below are all of the tasks you must complete to finish the Roasted Berries Special Research story during Tepig Community Day in Pokémon GO. Unlike the recent Bidoof quest, this one won’t branch and offer different choices. Expect that mechanic to return for Pokémon GO Fest 2021 though. So just follow along and finish up all of the tasks while it’s easy to accomplish so that you end up with all of the valuable rewards, including all of those chances to catch Shiny Tepig with high IVs.

Rewards: 2,000 Stardust, a Tepig encounter, and an Incense

Rewards: 1,500 XP, a Tepig encounter, and an Incense

Rewards: 2,500 XP, a Rocket Radar, and 15 Ultra Balls

Rewards: 3,000 Stardust, an Emboar encounter, and 2 Rare Candy

And that’s all of the Roasted Berries research tasks and rewards in Pokémon GO. Given the increase in premium items in the last few months it seems like Tepig Community Day follows the trend of offering value for the $1 ticket you must purchase to complete it.

Pokemon Go: Roasted Berries Special Research Quest Tasks and Rewards

Future Game Releases 04 July, 2021 - 04:04pm

Pokemon Go’s Tepig Community Day event goes live on July 3, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM featuring Tepig as the Special Pokemon, its shiny forms, one-time purchase Community Day Box, $1 event-exclusive Special Research story, and other bonuses.

The Roasted Berries Special Research has four parts and players must complete the given tasks to earn cool rewards, Pokemon encounters, and shiny Pokemon.

Hey there, %PLAYERNAME%! Good to see you. Do have anything fun planned for today?

I’ll be attending a picnic with the team leaders, myself.

I must say, though, I was having a pretty hard time deciding what I should bring. Candela’s in charge of sandwiches, Spark is handling refreshments, and Blanche is bringing shaved ice, so the bases are all pretty well covered.

Walking always clears my head, so I took a stroll and ended up spotting a large group of Tepig near where I normally pick my go-to snack, Pinap Berries.

And suddenly—inspiration! Did you know Tepig loves to eat roasted Berries, Trainer?

The Fire Pig Pokémon blows fire balls through its nose and roasts the berries before it eats them.

Roasted Berries sound like a great picnic snack, don’t you think? And speaking of, I need to start getting them ready. Why don’t you go check out the Tepig in the meantime?

Ah, I see you’ve caught a Tepig of your own! They make terrific companions in all aspects of life.

Tepig evolves into Pignite, which, like Tepig, is known as the Fire Pig Pokémon.

When Pignite’s internal fire flares up, its movements grow sharper and faster. Whatever it eats becomes fuel for the flame in its stomach. Must do wonders for digestion!

Oh! That reminds me—I need to check on my roasted Berries.

While I finish up my picnic preparations, why don’t you see about evolving your Tepig into Pignite?

Hello again, %PLAYERNAME%. The Berry-roasting process is going swimmingly, and the whole place smells delicious!

Just when I thought Pokémon couldn’t inspire me any more than they already do, here I am taking cooking tips from Tepig. Haha!

Nice Pignite, by the way! Very round. Did you know that Pignite can evolve? Its Evolution is a Pokémon called Emboar.

Emboar is known to heat up its punches by setting its fists ablaze with its fiery chin. It’s also known to care deeply about its friends.

Speaking of friends, I should let the team leaders know that I’ll be on my way soon.

How about evolving your Pignite into Emboar, Trainer? I’d love to see its fiery beard firsthand.

Fantastic work, %PLAYERNAME%! Your Emboar is truly a sight to see!

This powerful Fire- and Fighting-type Pokémon is known as the Mega Fire Pig Pokémon.

According to my research, Emboar is a master of fast and powerful Fighting-type attacks.

And wow… Look at that beard of fire. What do you think, Trainer? Could you see me with one of those?

Haha, only joking! I’m sure I’d find it far too itchy.

Anyway, I should let you get back to exploring. And I should get to that picnic!

Have a wonderful weekend, and keep up all the hard work. It’s always a joy to see how much you’ve grown as a Trainer each time we meet.

I’ll be in touch soon with some more research opportunities. Or who knows—maybe even some recipes!

Pokemon Go Tepig Community Day: Everything You Need to Know

ComicBook.com 04 July, 2021 - 04:04pm

Pokemon Go's latest Community Day is here, with players aiming to get one of the best Shiny Starter Pokemon in the franchise. Today's Community Day focuses on Tepig, the Fire-type Starter Pokemon first seen in Pokemon Black and White. Like all other Starter Pokemon, Tepig has a two-step evolution that ends with Emboar, a Fire/Fighting-type Pokemon. As with past Community Day events, today's festivities start at 11 AM and will feature plenty of Tepig spawning all around your area. Any Pignite evolved into a Emboar during the event learns the Fire-type move Blast Burn, a move exclusive to Fire-type Starter Pokemon that can typically only learned during Community Day events.

Here's everything you need to know about this weekend's Community Day:

Tepig's Community Day runs from 11 AM to 5 PM local time on July 3rd.

This month's Community Day features the exclusive move Blast Burn. Blast Burn is a Fire-type charge move with a relatively modest energy cost (50 energy to use) and has a base damage of 110. It's a standard for Fire-type Starter Pokemon, which often turns mediocre performers into major powerhouses in PvP. Unfortunately, because Emboar doesn't have very good stats, Blast Burn won't add very much firepower to this Pokemon's arsenal.

Unfortunately, Emboar might be the weakest Fire-type Starter Pokemon we've seen to date. It has an atrocious Defense stat, which means that it will quickly go down in a fight. Sadly, Blast Burn doesn't fix the core problems with this Pokemon. Although Emboar can do a bit more damage using Blast Burn, it's not enough to make a statistical difference in most PvP fights.

Sadly, Emboar is one of those Pokemon whose use is limited to raid filler or as a Pokemon to stick in gyms. It's not going to make much a difference to anyone who doesn't have an already full collection of Pokemon.

The Tepig Community Day will also come with a 3X Catch Stardust bonus, which means that players can earn a ton of Stardust for participating in the event. If you're trying to stockpile Stardust in the game, be sure to stack the 3X Catch Stardust with a Star Piece to maximize your Stardust during the event.

This little piggy went all the way home.

Tasks & Rewards for Tepig Community Day in Pokémon GO

Bleeding Cool News 04 July, 2021 - 04:04pm

It's Tepig Community Day in Pokémon GO! As with all recent Community Days, Niantic is offering a ticketed Special Research which players can purchase in the in-game shop for $1 USD. Generally, these offer a slate of items that exceed the asking price. Now that Community Day is live in earlier timezones, we can look to these Pokémon GO players to confirm the content offered in this Tepig-focused questline. Let's take a look at the tasks and rewards for Roasted Berries so we can determine if it's worth purchasing once and for all.

The full tasks and rewards for the Tepig Community Day ticked Special Research in Pokémon GO, titled Roasted Berries, is as follows:

These rewards are comparable to those of the last few months of ticketed Community Day Special Research questlines in Pokémon GO. In fact, it seems that with the exception of the encounters and a single reward level, they are identical to those of the Gible ticked Special Research. The rewards equal out to a value greater than the $1 USD, so what it comes down to is a personal preference. Can you make use of these items in Pokémon GO? Personally, I would've ended up shelling out the Pokécoins for these anyway, especially the Rocket Radar and Incense. While my answer is a definite "yes," I'm curious to know if you find these rewards worth the price. Let me know in the comments below.

Today Is Tepig Community Day In Pokémon GO: Full Details

Bleeding Cool News 04 July, 2021 - 04:04pm

Today, July 3rd, is Tepig Community Day in Pokémon GO. From 11 AM until 5 PM, Tepig will appear in the game with an increased Shiny rate and other bonuses. Let's dive into the details.

Niantic announced the full details for Tepig Community Day over at the official Pokémon GO blog:

Tepig will be appearing more frequently in the wild. If you're lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one! Evolve Pignite (Tepig's Evolution) during the event or up to two hours afterward to get an Emboar that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn.

I don't know about you, but with this and the previous Snivy Community Day, it feels so good to have Starter Pokémon getting their official attacks again. It'll surely be no time now before Oshawott Community Day happens and we can finally have a Samurott with Hydro Pump.

Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!

It's Tepig. The surprise is Tepig.

There'll be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins, featuring 50 Ultra Balls, five Incense, five Star Pieces, and an Elite Charged TM.

Personally, I find that this is quite a high price and is only worth it if you really want the Elite Charged TM. While the $1 Special Research adds up because of the overall general use of the items offered, these boxes are specifically designed around the Elite Charged TM.

For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you'll be able to access the Tepig Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, Roasted Berries.

Visit Bleeding Cool today for a full breakdown of the tasks and rewards offered for the Roasted Berries ticketed Special Research in Pokémon GO.

Incense activated during the event will last for three hours

Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours

Be sure to activate your Star Pieces. They only last for half an hour, so I encourage players to stack up a few. It's easy to lose track of what is currently active in Pokémon GO during a Community Day grind session, but the triple Stardust bonus is certainly worth buying into.

Best moveset for Emboar in Pokémon Go Dot Esports Sports

Dot Esports 04 July, 2021 - 04:04pm

The strength of starter Pokémon tends to vary wildly in Pokémon Go, but having another generalized Fire/Fighting-type doesn’t really change the game for players looking to fit Emboar into their teams.

Emboar is strong, but that is about the benefit you are getting from using it. And, though Fire/Fighting-type is far from the worst possible pairing, it does leave the Unovan starter weak to Flying, Ground, Psychic, and Water-type moves, which are all extremely common in all three core Go Battle League segments.

Even with tits initial weaknesses, Emboar is a fine team member for PvE battles. It can hit like a truck with an optimized combination of Low Kick or Ember for Fast Moves and Focus Blast or Flame Charge, though Blast Burn is going to be the best Charge Move choice post-Community Day.

Unfortunately, Blast Burn won’t be able to carry Emboar much in PvP. Its statline of 235 Attack, 137 Defense, 242 Stamina, and a peak CP of 3,372 at level 50 mean it won’t be a prime choice when you end up team building.

Ember and Low Kick aren’t great options for PvP Quick Moves. Running Flame Charge and Rock Slide is usually the go-to, and will now turn to Blast Burn at times for some matchups. That simply means it won’t be good in Great League, but can survive as a core Pokémon on certain teams.

In Ultra League, things will likely be better, but not by much. Emboar will not get completely destroyed, but won’t have the best performance of any Fire-type that you could use either. Charizard and Talonflame come to mind immediately as options that could easily outclass the Fire Pig Pokémon.

Unfortunately, even if Emboar was somewhat viable in the previous two leagues, it would suffer the fate of many other starters when thrown into the Master League, fighting against the field of legendary and pseudo-legendary Pokémon. Great and Ultra League might be forgiving to the pig, but anything outside of Melmetal or Heatran won’t be once you hit the big leagues, even if you reach the level 50 cap.

Overall, Emboar is serviceable in Great and Ultra Leagues but should never be your first option due to its lackluster Quick Moves and Blast Burn only gives it a small boost. That poor defense stat is also just apaling for a Pokémon that should be able to take at least a few hits.

TCG Spotlight: Some Of The Best Emboar Pokémon Cards

Bleeding Cool News 04 July, 2021 - 04:04pm

In honor of today's Tepig Community Day in Pokémon GO, let's take a look back at some of the most iconic Emboar cards from the Pokémon TCG including both vintage and modern. We'd love to hear from you, so chime in with your top Emboar picks in the comments below.

Like Tepig, Emboar gets two cards in its first Pokémon TCG set, the Black & White base set. This one by 5ban Graphics edges out the other just because the background is perfectly designed to take advantage of the era's horizontal line holographic pattern, a pattern which I'm quite nostalgic for. While Emboar's design isn't my favorite, being an example of a Pokémon that starts out looking like an animal and ends up looking like… well, a guy. However, 5ban does a good job making it look powerful and imposing while still a bit goofy, which is how I like my Emboar.

To me, this is the best Emboar card of all time. Legendary Treasures has multiple cards that connect with others to tell a story, with one of the best being the Tepig line. I spotlighted the Tepig card that begins this story yesterday, and here is its culmination. Kanako Eo told a story of family, aging, and new connections with this three-part series of cards, with it ending beautifully here. The child that was thrilled to meet Tepig with his family in the first card is now an adult and is introducing his daughter to the grown, fully evolved Emboar as his elderly parents watch. It is a beautiful card that transcends its set and era as an all-time classic.

This is a much more standard Emboar card from Anesaki Dynamic in Battle Stylesbut only in that it depicts Emboar doing what Emboar is generally depicted doing: fighting. In truth, it's the style that makes this one stand out. It looks almost like an action film poster with the intensity of the Pokémon's attack.
