Did Selena Gomez attend the Met Gala 2021?

Selena Gomez wasn't at Monday's Met Gala, but fans of the “Ice Cream” singer were — and made their presence known by chanting her name at Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin as they walked the fête's red carpet Monday night. Where was the Met gala after party?

Co-hosted by Balenciaga, Justin Bieber, and Drew House, the celebration took place at Cathedrale in the East Village, which had been fully transformed from restaurant to nightclub with strobe lights and a black jersey textile haphazardly draped and swagged all over the space. vogue.comInside Balenciaga’s Hush-Hush Met Gala After-Party–Where Justin Bieber Performed Once Again

Was Addison Rae invited to the Met Gala?

Addison Rae Easterling, better known as Addison Rae, matched a red dress with a bright blond lob for her first Met Gala appearance, where the theme was "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion." movie "He's All That" — a gender-swapped remake of the noughties rom-com — and signed a multi-film contract with the company. “Don’t cry, don’t cry,” Justin Bieber appears to mouth to console her.

Amid the commotion, Justin looks as though he’s mouthing “don’t cry, don’t cry” in an apparent attempt to console his wife. His loving behavior in the TikTok video matches some of the professional photos of the couple uploaded to sites like Getty Images (like the photo above).

The Met Gala coincided with the Biebers’ third anniversary of their courthouse wedding, which would make the “Selena” chant all the more emotionally cutting if true. Another video, taken from a different angle of the couple, features the same chant and more commentary from Gomez’s fans.

Gomez and 27-year-old Bieber dated on-again, off-again from late 2010 to early 2018.

Billie Eilish’s heartbreaking song “Happier Than Ever” soundtracks the viral video posted by TikTok user @returnofbizzle, adding another layer of emotions to clip.

In another TikTok video showcasing the same moment, Hailey’s cousin and fellow model Ireland Baldwin defended the Biebers in the comments section. “They’re one of the happiest and most in love couples I’ve ever gotten the chance to be around,” wrote Ireland, who is the daughter to actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. “They don’t care about them 😂.” Her comment has garnered more than 20,000 likes as of Sept. 15.

Hailey, who wore a Saint Laurent black strapless sheath gown with a plunging embellished neckline alongside a suited Bieber, was seen smiling at him as they arrived for the annual charity event before appearing to be visibly shaken after the apparent chanting.

Hailey then proceeded to put on the sunglasses.

And the couple continued to pose for photographs.

The Biebers were in good spirts when Keke Palmer interviewed them for Vogue though.

Fans Think Hailey Baldwin Is Pregnant After Justin Bieber Puts His Hand on Her Stomach

inTouch Weekly 16 September, 2021 - 07:41am

Next up for the Buckeyes is visiting Tulsa.

Rabinowitz: I'll be honest. I did not expect that outcome, especially if you'd told me that star defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux and linebacker Justin Flowe wouldn't play for the Ducks. But Oregon deserved to win. The Ducks did everything but stop Ohio State's passing game.

Kaufman: The style of the game, the way the Buckeyes were beaten, is the thing that's staying with me. So let's linger a little bit on the battle in the trenches, especially the way Oregon handled Ohio State's defensive line. The Buckeyes gave up 7.08 yards per carry, the most since Indiana averaged 7.81 against them in 2014. It was also their first time without a sack in a game since 2018. Really an unusual sight.

Kaufman: The injury might indeed force them to use a two-high safety scheme because there isn't anyone on the roster who has really shown to have a grasp on playing the single-high safety outside of Proctor. It's been a slow adjustment for Bryson Shaw, and though Marcus Hooker has experience from last season, there was a reason the defensive staff ultimately had Proctor take over for him. Maybe Lathan Ransom can be a second deep safety. He's already the slot cornerback, which is also referred to as a cover safety position, so it wouldn't require a huge overhaul of an approach.

Kaufman: As much as the defense has been the subject of most of the postgame critiques, let's not overlook the other factors that were at hand on Saturday. The Buckeyes' 612 total yards of offense led to only four touchdowns. Three times, they were stopped on fourth down inside Oregon's territory. Finishing drives was an issue, as was a running game that averaged only 4.13 yards per carry.

Kaufman: While there weren't a lot of holes for either Henderson or Williams to run through against Oregon, do you think the lack of a run threat at quarterback could also be hampering the running game? Stroud hasn't given opponents reason to think he'll ever keep it on zone reads, so an extra defender doesn't have to stay with him. They can go after a running back. Remember in 2018, the Buckeyes' running backs were less effective with an immobile Dwayne Haskins behind center.

Kaufman: For Stroud and everyone else, the next few weeks are a fertile training ground. Tulsa and Akron come to Columbus during the final weekends of September, then a trip to Rutgers and a visit from Maryland before an idle week in mid-October. The soft stretch of the schedule is the time to figure stuff out.

Kaufman: Certainly, it's not a fatal defeat, but remember a two-loss team has never made the College Football Playoff since its inception in 2014, leaving the Buckeyes with little room for error until December. They can't afford another slip up if they want to reach the postseason and vie for a national championship.

The pop star, who won two VMA awards on Sunday, wore La Maison Drew, which is an extension of his brand Drew House.

Despite respectively attending the Met Gala a number of times over the years, they have never gone together.

In May 2018, Hailey attended the event with Shawn Mendes, who she dated from 2017 to 2018, just days before reconciling with Justin.

Two months after rekindling, Hailey and Justin got engaged on July 7, 2018.

Justin and Hailey originally met in 2009 after dad Stephen Baldwin introduced them.

They dated for a short time in early 2016 before they parted ways; he went on to date Sofia Richie and briefly reunited with ex girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Justin and Hailey obtained a marriage license from a New York City courthouse in September 2018, and tied the knot one year later at an extravagant wedding in South Carolina in front of 154 guests on September 30, 2019.

Ireland Baldwin Defends Hailey and Justin Bieber After Fans Chant 'Selena Gomez' at 2021 Met Gala

PEOPLE 15 September, 2021 - 02:03pm

After a TikTok went viral of fans chanting "Selena Gomez" when the couple arrived at the Met Gala on Monday, the 25-year-old model (whose parents are Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger) clapped back in the comment section.

"Selena Gomez fans camped outside the met trying to ruin Justin and Hailey's red carpet moment," text over the TikTok says. While the caption reads: "DISGUSTING," with several hashtags.

Many TikTok users slammed the people in the video, calling the situation "sad" and "disrespectful."

"That's not nice. True fans know Selena would not like that," one person wrote. (Gomez and Bieber dated on and off from 2010-2018).

Ireland added, "They're one of the happiest and most in love couples I've ever gotten the chance to be around. They don't care about them," with a laughing face emoji.

The unfortunate interaction fell on Baldwin and Bieber's third wedding anniversary (coincidentally on the same day as the Met Gala).

The model, 24, revealed the sweet detail in a behind-the-scenes style video uploaded to her YouTube video on Tuesday, which documents her fittings and glam process for the annual benefit.

"This is probably the most last-minute I've ever fit my dress," Baldwin shared at the beginning of the clip.

Luckily, the black Saint Laurent column dress fit like a glove at her first fitting in Brooklyn, NY. During the session, Baldwin and stylist Karla Welch went back and forth with accessories as they experimented with two very different vibes: Grace Kelly-inspired versus a more natural look reminiscent of Los Angeles style in the 1980s.

Baldwin described her glam for past Met Galas as "intense," to which a team member behind the camera responded: "It's been an intense couple of themes, too, whereas this is like you're truly an American beauty."

At the conclusion of the fitting, it's unclear which aesthetic Baldwin will choose, but she seems set on getting out of the car and walking the red carpet in her signature black sunglasses. During the clip, the star also shared, "Justin and I have never gone to the Met together, and it's on our anniversary."

The star then documented her glam "trial day" with makeup artist Mary Phillips and hairstylist Jen Atkin, explaining that it's important to have a test run because it's too chaotic to change directions on the day of the actual Met Gala.

In the end, Baldwin and her team went with the more "simple, all-American" option, sans gloves. She added a Tiffany & Co. diamond choker for a touch of glamour. "You just look cool," Atkin said of the effortless hairstyle and natural, glowy makeup.

Bieber, meanwhile, donned a sleek black tuxedo by La Maison Drew (an extension of his Drew House label), painted sneakers and Jacquie Aiche jewelry. He walked the red carpet with a Drew House briefcase featuring the brand's signature smiley face logo.

"I feel like the Met is alway just a very cool night to celebrate fashion," Baldwin told Keke Palmer on the red carpet. "We both love fashion, and we both love being able to celebrating designers."

When asked about his style evolution over the years, Bieber explained, "I think as I become more of an adult, things just [started] to evolve and change. I'm married now so I think things just become more...adult now."

The theme of the 2021 Met Gala — which came after a canceled 2020 Met Gala and a postponed May date — was In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
