What is happily ever after at Disney World?
Happily Ever After is a fireworks and projection mapping show which debuted at the Magic Kingdom on May 12, 2017. Unlike its predecessor, Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams, the show includes projection mapping across Cinderella Castle, lasers, and searchlights, in addition to pyrotechnics. wikipedia.orgHappily Ever After (Magic Kingdom)
BREAKING: Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage, Turtle Talk with Crush, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, and Wonderful World of Animation Return Dates Announced for Walt Disney World
22 July, 2021 - 07:00am
Starting August 1, the “Wonderful World of Animation” will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This cinematic nighttime experience leverages projection mapping technology to transform the park’s iconic Chinese Theater on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation.
On August 15, a tale as old as time will return to Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard with “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.” The heartwarming tale of Belle and Beast will once again swirl to life in this lush stage performance, with colorful costumes, gorgeous scenery and the songs you know and love. We here at WDWNT of course told you this return was imminent a few weeks back.
As was reported recently, rehearsals have begun and you’ll soon be able to visit those monsters of comedy in Monstropolis and chat with a certain sea turtle at The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Mike Wazowski will begin welcoming humans to the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom Park on August 8. And beginning August 21, you can get your most pressing questions answered during Turtle Talk with Crush at EPCOT.
So some entertainment is coming back! I really hope the other offerings like the Citizens of Main Street and the Citizens of Hollywood will follow suit!

With the exciting return of firework spectaculars over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, along with Animal Kingdom’s modified Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King, we’ve been anxiously anticipating the return of other shows and live productions throughout Walt Disney World. Well, we’ve got great news… this summer, four more favorites will rejoin the entertainment lineup!
Beginning August 1st, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will light up the night (and the Chinese Theater) with the return of Wonderful World of Animation; a cinematic celebration of 90+ years of Disney and Pixar animation. Colorful scenes filled with favorite characters are projected onto the Chinese Theatre, synced to beloved Disney tunes.
And on August 15th, a tale as old as time returns to the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard with Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.
With these two DHS shows reopening, we still await reopening updates for Fantasmic!, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Disney Junior Dance Party.
On August 8th, Monstropolis will once again welcome humans (HELLOOOO HUMANS!) at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland. Do you have any go-to jokes for Mike Wazowski?
Additionally, Disney has clarified that Happily Ever After will end on September 29th at Magic Kingdom before the new spectacular Disney Enchantment debuts on October 1st. Plan accordingly!
Finally, beginning August 21st, chat with your favorite 150-year old sea turtle in Turtle Talk with Crush!
EPCOT Forever will conclude its limited-time run on the night of September 28th, before Harmonious premieres on October 1st. Will you be there for its last hurrah?

While Parades and Character Meet and Greets are still missed, we’re glad to see magic breathed back into more empty theaters and show buildings.
Disney promises much more to come as they lead up to Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Which returning show are you most excited to once again experience? Are you planning to watch Happily Ever After or EPCOT Forever one last time?
