Domino’s (ticker:DPZ) stock fell early on Thursday despite beating earnings estimates, as the pizza company’s decadelong domestic growth streak came to an end.

The world’s largest pizza company said same-store U.S. sales fell 1.9% compared with the year-ago period, snapping a 41-quarter streak of domestic same-store sales growth, dating back to early 2011. Analysts covering the stock had expected growth of around 1.8%.

Same-store sales at Domino’s Pizza Inc.’s U.S. stores dropped 1.9% in the three months through early September compared with the same period last year, the company said Thursday. It is the company’s first U.S. same-store sales decline in more than a decade, according to FactSet data, and a reversal from as recently as the prior quarter when sales were still growing.
