When is Inazuma coming Genshin?

Genshin Impact's long-awaited Inazuma region is finally launching on July 21. The moment Genshin Impact fans have been waiting for practically since the game came out is finally here. Inazuma, an oft-rumored, much-anticipated in-game area inspired by Japan, is launching on July 21. KotakuGenshin Impact's Biggest Update Yet Adds Japan-Inspired Region

Genshin Impact gets cross-progression with the 2.0 update on 21st July, developer miHoYo has announced.

That's cross-progression across all versions of the hit free-to-play open-world action RPG: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and mobile.

miHoYo said the 2.0 update, dubbed The Immovable God and Eternal Euthymia, also adds "more refined" character shading, haptic feedback support for the PS5 DualSense controller, and more feature optimisations "to deliver a richer visual and tactile experience to players".

The 2.0 update brings with it the new Inazuma area located across the sea (the third of the game's seven major cities), as well as story-based main and side quests. The trailer is below:

Here's the official blurb on the new area:

"Unlike Mondstadt and Liyue, Inazuma is surrounded by the sea on all sides and consists of six main islands, often accompanied by a strong sea breeze and thunderstorms.

Although Inazuma is greatly affected by fleeting lightning and the Electro element, the Electro Archon who rules the area has turned to the pursuit of eternity. Throughout the adventure in Inazuma, players will be able to explore the unique cultural landscapes, stories, secrets, and historical connections to Inazuma and the Electro Archon on each of the different islands, as well as the answers to eternity from the Electro Archon herself."

Three new playable characters, Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu, also hit the game with the 2.0 update. Here are the bios:

"Kamisato Ayaka, the daughter of the Yashiro Commission's Kamisato Clan, is often conceived as dignified, elegant, wise, and strong by the locals. She has been familiar to many fans and players since closed be ta testing, and will be added as a five-star Cryo sword user.

"Yoimiya is the other five-star character joining in Version 2.0. She's a Pyro archer and an expert in fireworks. Known as the Queen of the Summer Festival, Yoimiya excels in her craft of creating fireworks that symbolise people's hopes and dreams.

"The last character, Sayu is a new four-star ninja character who wields an Anemo Vision and a giant claymore bigger than herself."

Every New Genshin Impact Character Teased In The 2.0 Livestream

Screen Rant 11 July, 2021 - 04:22am

The Genshin Impact broadcast, an hour-long special, delved into the concepts for and creation of the third nation to be introduced to Teyvat. It detailed the inspirations and storyline of Inazuma, an island nation rife with conflict. Players got a glimpse at how Inazuma's new characters will interact with the Traveler in the next Genshin Impact update, as well as where their loyalties lie.

Due to past Genshin Impact leaks, most of the faces in the livestream are already recognizable. But now, officially confirmed by miHoYo, players can look forward to the fact that they will appear at some point in the 2.0 update. Though only three have been confirmed as playable so far, more information should be revealed about the teased characters as the Inazuma storyline unfolds. Here's all the information the livestream included about each new character.

The 2.0 livestream was full of exciting information on the update. Inazuma will soon be explorable, and with new playable Genshin Impact characters confirmed and a lot more teased, this next update will have a surplus of fresh content for players to enjoy.
