GameSpot 23 July, 2021 - 01:00pm

August's First PS Plus Game Confirmed As Hunter's Arena: Legends

Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 5 Coming July 13, And Here's What It Does

One of the biggest additions in this update is the new region, Inazuma. The region will have three new areas available in version 2.0, Narukami Island, Kannazuka, and Yashiori Island, all of which unlock once players hit Adventure Rank 30 and have completed the Archon Quest, Chapter Two, Act One, "The immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia." The Inazuma region will also get its own reputation system, in addition to Expeditions and Daily Commissions.

The update also adds in new characters, including the five-star Frostflake Heron Kamisato Ayaka, a cryo sword wielder, and five-star Frolicking Flames Yoimiya, a pyro bow user. The update also includes other characters and brand-new weapons to collect.

There is also a brand-new event to celebrate the launch of the new update. The Thunder Sojourn event takes place runs through August 8, with the event shop staying live until August 16. During the event, players can gather Thunder Pellets and Thunder Crystals by completing various challenges across Inazuma. The items can be used to obtain the character Uncrowned Lord of the Ocean Beidou along with other rewards.

You can read the full patch notes--which is too long to list here--on Genshin Impact's official website: part one, part two, and part three.

Below is a section of the full patch notes:

Offer the Electro Sigils you obtain during your various adventures in Inazuma to the Sacred Sakura to raise your Sacred Sakura's Favor Level and gain valuable items in return. You will receive upgrades to your Electrogranum's level at certain levels of the Sacred Sakura's Favor, which will enhance their abilities.

• Reach Adventure Rank 30 or above and complete the quest "Ritou Escape Plan."

These miraculous spirits are called Electrograna. They spawn from Thunder Sakura Boughs and grant the protection of Electro.

Electrograna have various powers. Carry them with you to travel rapidly using Thunder Spheres, traverse Thunder Barriers, and even withstand Balethunder. You can offer Electro Sigils to the Sacred Sakura at the Grand Narukami Shrine to enhance Electrogranum strength.

The powerful Electrograna will even aid Travelers they connect with in fighting against their foes.

• Complete the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Act I - The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia"

• Complete the quest "The Commission's Commission"

By interacting with certain NPCs in Inazuma, you will be able to accept requests to complete and increase your Reputation. As your Reputation Level increases, you will unlock various Reputation Rewards!

In addition, Expeditions, Daily Commissions, and other new content will also be added in Inazuma.

• Complete the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Act I - The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia"

• Complete the quest "Katheryne in Inazuma"

Sometimes in Inazuma you will come across Thunder Sakura Boughs, from which you can acquire Electrograna that last for a certain duration.

A kind of impenetrable shield known in Inazuma as a Thunder Barrier.

For some mysterious reason, receiving the acknowledgment of Electrograna and carrying them with you allows you to pass through some such barriers unimpeded.

Some regions in Inazuma are affected by high levels of Electro concentration. While in these regions, you will gradually lose HP. This phenomenon is known as Balethunder.

Use Electrograna to protect yourself against the harmful effects of Balethunder.

This strange entity is known as a Thunder Sphere. It is a common sight in Inazuma. Characters who wield Electro power or who are looked after by Inazuma can use it to move around at lightning speed.

Characters carrying an Electrogranum or affected by Electro in proximity to a Thunder Sphere can move towards it at great speed.

New gameplay mechanisms added in Inazuma also include Thunderstones, Lightning Strike Probes, Discharge Stones, and Cumulation Stones.

Genshin Impact: How To Unlock Inazuma

TheGamer 23 July, 2021 - 01:00pm

However, getting to Inazuma, and more importantly, being allowed to roam around the islands, does require you to follow a few steps and meet some pre-requisite conditions. Here's how to get to Inazuma and when you'll unlock the freedom to explore.

You'll learn a few basics about Inazuma during the Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves quest chain and this story will set up your passage to the islands.

As promised, she will offer you safe passage to Inazuma. However, once you get through the storm the difficulties have just begun and before you can roam freely around Inazuma you'll need to do a few tasks for your new friend Thoma.

You'll need to progress further through the quest chain in order to unlock access to the city itself and free passage across the islands.

You'll need to allow a couple of hours to get through this quest chain, longer if you take time to explore along the way.

Here's a rundown of what you'll need to do:

When you get to this part you'll notice that your target has an eye icon above his head. If you get too close to him a red circle will begin to appear above this. If you see this move back slightly and it will fade. Make sure not to move too far away or he will vanish out of sight.

The escort quest works in the same way as daily escort quests do. You'll need to accompany a balloon across the water to the neighboring island, fighting bandits along the way. This is the first time you'll encounter the Nobushi, samurai-type enemies who are similar to treasure hoarders but a little tougher.

Once they are dispatched you'll be on the main island of Narukami and can explore more freely. There are waypoints to unlock and side quests will start to appear. You can also wander down to Inazuma City.

It's here that after a conversation with Ayaka you'll be asked to visit three people who have had their visions removed during the Vision Hunt.

Once you've figured out what's going on you can answer some questions for him before you need to move on to the next person.

Once you've unraveled the story behind Kurosawa then it's time to head over to the final person on the list, a skilled swordmaster.

Towards the end of the quest, you'll be sent to find Yae Miko. She will give you some answers, help Domon, and then you'll watch a resolution form. After the story is complete you'll need to go back to see Ayaka again, your task completed.

You'll also encounter some Kairagi. These are more elite enemies and hit much harder than the Nobushi. There are two types.

Try to watch the patterns of their weapon swings and aoe in order to avoid the deadliest blows.

Sparks of electro energy will intermittently come out of the hole in the center and they can hit quite hard, especially if they stack up, or your character is vulnerable to electro damage.

Simply approach the statue and interact with it. This will turn it off and the power boost nearby enemies are receiving will dissipate.

The key here is to jump from one to another quickly as they change state. There's also a gap mid-way where you can stop before passing the final boards before the ladder.

Once you've completed this domain expect an extended cutscene before the quest completes. This is the end of the Act 1 quest chain. Ayaka will tell you that you are free to explore Inazuma, although this will be immediately followed by a second quest chain in which she offers to take you on a tour.

Genshin Impact guide: Where to find Sakura Blooms

Polygon 21 July, 2021 - 03:06pm

You’ve probably seen a ton of these swirling pink petals, but how do you actually pick them up?

Sakura Blooms are found as glowing pick spots around Inazuma, but you can’t actually pick them up when they’re in this form. You’ll need to use an Electro ability on them, making it so you can pick them up.

The ability you use doesn’t matter, whether you use Fischl’s charged shot, the Traveler’s newly added Electro abilities, or even Lisa’s basic attacks. Once you use an Electro skill on the bundle of petals, you’ll be able to pick them up.

Sakura Blooms can be found all over Narukami Island, but especially around Grand Narukami Shrine. You can check out exact locations on where to find them on the official Teyvat Interactive Map.

You’ll need Sakura Blooms to upgrade Ayaka, one of the new characters added with the Inazuma update, so you’ll definitely want to pick up any you find on your journey.

Best Electro Traveler build in Genshin Impact | Gamepur

Gamepur 21 July, 2021 - 02:39pm

Genshin Impact 2.0 has introduced a new Traveler type that people can play, the Electro Traveler. Players can now attune to Electro at the Statues of the Seven in Inazuma, taking on the awesome power of Electro elemental attacks.

If you want to really get the most from the Electro Traveler, you will also need to make sure you have good weapons and artifacts that complement their abilities and strengths.

The 5 Star Skyward Blade is available from Wishes and will give you a solid Crit boost. You can also take advantage of the Skypiercing Might intrinsic upon using an Elemental Burst. “Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and increases the DMG of Normal and Charged Attack hits by 20% for 12s.”

The Black Sword is also a suitable weapon and is available from the Battle Pass. It will increase normal and charged attack damage by 20%, and also give you some lifesteal on crits.

The Thundering Fury will amplify your Electro damage, especially at four pieces. The Thundering Fury set can be farmed from the Midsummer Courtyard Domain near the Starsnatch Cliff in Mondstadt.
