HBO Max unveiled the first-look image for their upcoming Sex and the City revival on Friday. In it, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis can be seen strutting down the streets of Manhattan looking, as Carrie Bradshaw would put it, "effortlessly striking."

And Just Like That will continue to chronicle the lives of Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda, now in their 50s, as they navigate love and friendships in the Big Apple. In addition to the three stars, Chris Noth (who played Carrie's main love interest and eventual husband, Mr. Big) will reprise his role on the new series.

Also returning are Wille Garson as Stanford Blatch, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, and David Eigenberg as Steve Brady. Tony winner Sara Ramirez has also joined the cast, as a nonbinary, queer, stand-up comedian named Che Diaz, who regularly hosts Carrie on her show.

Costume designer Patricia Field will not be styling And Just Like That because she has been tied up working on another show from Starr, Emily in Paris.

HBO Max has not yet announced a premiere date for the revival. Check out the photo above.

'And Just Like That...': First photos from 'Sex and the City' revival series

New York Post 10 July, 2021 - 01:00am

July 9, 2021 | 1:19pm | Updated July 9, 2021 | 2:52pm

The “Sex and the City” reboot series is now shooting in New York City — and just like that, HBO Max has released first-look images for fans.

A series of photos dropped Friday featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, 56, as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon, 55, as Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis, 56, as Charlotte York hitting the Big Apple streets.

The new series — titled “And Just Like That…” — will follow in its predecessor’s footsteps and tell the stories of the three besties as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

They will be doing this self-discovery sans original co-star Kim Cattrall, 64, who isn’t returning as the beloved, raunchy Samantha Jones.

In addition to starring in the revival, SJP, Davis and Nixon are all executive producers on the production, accompanying executive producers Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi and Michael Patrick King. “And Just Like That…” writers include Michael Patrick King, Samantha Irby, Rachna Fruchbom, Keli Goff, Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky.

The original series — which ran from 1998 to 2004 on HBO and spawned two feature films — was created by Darren Star and based on the book “Sex and the City” by Candace Bushnell. The revival “And Just Like That…” is to air on HBO Max.

Last month, Parker, Nixon and Davis shared a photo following their first table read.

Michael Patrick King, who was involved in the original series, is writing and producing for the revival. A premiere date for “And Just Like That…” has not been announced.

Sex And The City stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis return to NYC

Daily Mail 10 July, 2021 - 01:00am

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis looked as if they were having the time of their lives on Friday as they finally returned to their Sex And The City characters.

Sarah, 56, Cynthia, 55, and Kristin, 56, were seen on set in New York City filming an early scene for their upcoming HBO Max revival of their classic series, now titled And Just Like That.

The three actresses showed off a little more gray than they did on the old show, but they proved they could still pull off a stylish ensemble.

And then there were three: Sarah Jessica Parker, 56, Cynthia Nixon, 55, and Kristin Davis, 56, beamed as they got to work filming a scene in New York City for their Sex And The City revival And Just Like That

Sarah towered in a pair of platform patent leather shoes which she paired with an hypnotizing black-and-white gingham skirt.

The Broadway star lightened up the look with a white blouse, and she stayed warm with a cream-colored cardigan with black spots.

She grinned ear-to-ear while looking at the crew and accessorized with a brown quilted handbag and a dark red wide-brim hat that hung from her shoulders by a black sash.

Sarah added some sparkle to her tasteful ensemble with strands of pearls and turquoise around her neck.

Her dirty blond locks were parted down the middle and fanned out as the flitted about in the breeze, and she added some tasteful jewelry to her look including a slim gold watch and a thick gold-and-black bracelet.

Cynthia's costume featured a more reserved look. She wore a gray-and-white collarless plaid shirt that was tucked into a pair of high-waisted white slacks.

The pants featured a thick white belt around her midriff with a gold buckle.

The LGBTQ advocate looked stylish in pointy beige heels, and she accessorized with a cream-colored quilted clutch.

She opted for a chic bobbed hairdo and wasn't afraid to show off a little bit of gray.

Sarah and Cynthia were spotted hugging on set, though they may have just been doing that as part of the scene they were filming.

The actresses had plenty of help achieving their characters' glamorous looks, and makeup artists and stylists were seen on set helping to perfect their glows.

Even when they were between takes, Sarah and Cynthia seemed to be in a great mood and were spotted chatting and laughing with each other.

Although Kristin Davis was featured in images from the day's shoot, she appeared to be sitting out part of the scene, with only involved Sarah and Cynthia.

The stars have been keeping busy recently. Sarah was set to join her husband Matthew Broderick for a Broadway performance of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite, but it was delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Previews are now set for February 2022.

Last year, Cynthia appeared in Ryan Murphy's One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest prequel series Ratched opposite Sarah Paulson.

Sarah, Cynthia and Kristin all starred on Sex And The City from 1998 to 2004, and they also appeared in two sequel films.

Just the day before shooting, revealed the title of the first episode of the new series and shared some of the essential items she likes to stock her dressing room with.

The actress posted a closeup of her shooting script, which featured the title Hello It's Me.

The episode was written by longtime executive producer Michael Patrick King, who also wrote and directed the two Sex And The City films.

More to come: Sarah snapped a photo of her hat and Cynthia's bag between scenes, along with a photo of a tasty sandwich and her reading material. 'Onto the next scene. While the camera moves...' she wrote

The title may have been a reference to classic Todd Rundgren song from 1972, though it's also the opening line of Adele's hit song Hello.

The shooting script included Sarah's name written in thick gray letters across the cover.

She also gave her $6.8 million Instagram followers a taste of what she would be filling her trailer and dressing room with to occupy herself between takes.

Another photo showed a green backpack and some of her favorite snacks, including packages of long chips and some mixed nuts with raisins.

She also had a small aroma diffuser and tiny bottles of essential oils to create the perfect soothing scent, along with books to occupy her during the long breaks between shots.

There was also a small black Beats speaker to pipe some tunes into the trailer.

It's almost here! Sarah revealed on Thursday that the first episode of her Sex And The City revival And Just Like That was titled Hello It's Me and written by longtime writer and director Michael Patrick King. She also showed off her dressing room supplies, including snacks, an aroma diffuser and a portable speaker

She listed out her 'items' and 'must haves' for her 'trailer/dressing room/tote bag haul' in her caption.

'In preparation for 1st day of shooting. Somewhere on the island of Manhattan. Tomorrow. Always bringing enough to share,' she wrote disjointedly, adding, 'Not pictured, deodorant.'

The Plaza Suite star also specified what she would be reading in the next few weeks.

'Book titles (enough to keep me company through episodes 101-103,' she wrote, then listed that she was digging into Laurie Colwin's 1978 romantic comedy classic Happy All The Time, the heartbreaking memoir Crying In H Mart by Japanese Breakfast singer Michelle Zauner and Andrew O'Hagan's recent coming-of-age novel Mayflies.

And Just Like That will see Sarah reprising her iconic Sex And The City character Carrie Bradshaw, though the show's original quartet of women has been reduced to a trio now.

Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will both be returning as Charlotte York Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes, respectively, but Kim Cattrall won't be returning as Samantha Jones.

The 64-year-old actress previously had a falling out with Parker and chose to sit out this newest incarnation of the show, as well as a canceled third film in the series.

The highly anticipated sequel series will feature most of the original cast minus Cattrall, including the most popular male actor.

DailyMail.com revealed in May that David Eigenberg was returning as Miranda's husband Steve, as were Chris Noth and  John Corbett, who played Carrie's competing love interests Mr. Big and Aidan, respectively.

Down to three: Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will return as Miranda and Charlotte, respectively, but Kim Cattrall is sitting the show out after a public falling-out with Sarah; still from Sex And The City

The Hollywood Reporter shared last month that Willie Garson would reprise his role as Carrie's friend Stanford Blatch and Evan Handler would be back as Charlotte's husband Harry Goldenblatt.

Sarah revealed nearly a month ago that the cast had begun table reads for the series, though she didn't share the writer or title of the premiere episode.

'1st Table Read. Got here way too early. Nerves all a wonderful jumble. X, SJ,' the New York theater star said in her Instagram caption.

Although the cast members now seem ready to go with the revival, Noth recently told Yahoo! Finance Live that he was initially 'hesitant' to return to Carrie Bradshaw's world.

'It was a little bit of a sort of creative negotiation because I didn't really feel I had anything to offer in that role again,' he admitted. 'It kind of felt like I had done it.

'But [executive producer] Michael Patrick King is just an incredible writer and has incredible creative ideas. And once we got together and talked about the potential of what we could do with the character, I was all in,' he clarified.

It just looks wrong without Samantha.
