John Cena’s hair looked fantastic on SNL

So it took me a while to get around to catching a surprise appearance by 16 time WWE World champion and movie & TV star John Cena on Saturday Night Live. Now that I have, I can say the sketch (embedded above) was... certainly was a surprise appearance by 16 time WWE World champion and movie & TV star John Cena.

SNL is capable of delivering laughs (this hard seltzer short is pretty clever, IMHO), but the modern day version of the show often seems to just shoot for viral moments by doing things like bringing in big-name guest stars*. “The Dream Guy” is a parody of shows like The Bachelor that seems to have been green-lit because they could bring in Cena, Chris Rock, NBA star Blake Griffin, Jesse Williams (of Grey’s Anatomy fame, but who I think of as from Cabin in the Woods), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl, but The Boys for me), Tyler Crawford (who is apparently from a spin-off of the actual Bachelor franchise), and Amy Schumer. That list of celebs compete with “Zeke”, cast member Kyle Mooney’s stab at an Ed Grimley/Church Lady/Debbie Downer/Gilly-type recurring character, as they hope to be picked to advance to the next round of dates by Kardashian West’s “Rochelle”.

Instead of ragging on a bit that clearly wasn’t for me, I’ll just talk about J.C. Maybe I’m biased, but his reactions were probably the funniest thing in the sketch. And as a long-time chronicler of the man’s style, that pompadour-fade he’s settled on for his hair looks phenomenal.

Let us know what you thought of this sketch, and or the Face That Used To Run The Place’s hairdo, in the comments below.

The Bachelorette veteran, 28, made a cameo during the Saturday, October 9, broadcast in a sketch called “The Dream Guy,” which was clearly inspired by The Bachelorette. In the skit, the Skims founder, 40, played Rochelle, a single woman searching for love.

Cameron starred as himself alongside several other famous men: Chris Rock, John Cena, Chace Crawford, Jesse Williams and Blake Griffin. SNL cast member Kyle Mooney rounded out the group as Zeke, the one regular guy stuck in a sea of exceptional suitors.

While naming the guys who would make it to the next round, Kardashian listed off their personal and professional achievements. “Next up, Tyler C.,” the Selfish author said of the Florida native. “Thank you so much for showing me your perfectly hot body. That was really vulnerable of you. Do you accept this token?”

The You Deserve Better author replied, “I do, Rochelle. Thank you. I’ll see you in the hot tub.”

After the episode aired, Cameron shared a photo and clip from the show via Instagram, adding a caption about how much fun he had. “So I did a thing last night … so much fun joining Kim on her big night on SNL!” he wrote on Sunday, October 10. “Being vulnerable pays off! See you in the hot tub.”

Several Bachelor Nation alums reacted to the model’s SNL moment in the comments section of his Instagram post. “WUT,” wrote season 11 Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, who is set to cohost Michelle Young‘s upcoming season with Tayshia Adams.

Rachael Kirkconnell, who won Matt James‘ season of The Bachelor earlier this year, added that Cameron and Kardashian looked “cute” together.

While Bachelor Nation was understandably obsessed with “The Dream Guy,” Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans also couldn’t help but notice that one of the other suitors formerly dated Kardashian’s sister Kendall Jenner.

Us Weekly confirmed that Griffin, 32, was dating the 25-year-old model in October 2017. The duo called it quits in 2018 after less than one year together. Jenner has since moved on with another NBA star, Devin Booker, whom she started dating in August 2020.

Fans Can't Stop Shipping Kim Kardashian & Tyler Cameron After 'SNL'

Bustle 11 October, 2021 - 09:16am

Even Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell are here for it.

“I have no doubt in my mind that my husband is in this room,” the reality star said, mocking a line that is often said on the hit reality series. “In fact, I wish I could marry each and every one of you, but that would be way too many husbands.” Kardashian — er, Rochelle — then went on to select who would continue. After choosing Cameron and thanking him for being vulnerable by showing off his “hot body,” the model said that he would see her “in the hot tub,” which is where things tend to heat up on the show.

After the sketch aired, Cameron took to Instagram to reflect on the experience. “So I did a thing last night,” the 28-year-old wrote alongside a screenshot of him accepting a token from Kardashian. “So much fun joining Kim on her big night on SNL! Being vulnerable pays off. See you in the hot tub.” Of course, the skit was only supposed to be a joke. However, plenty of fans seem convinced that they would make a great couple in real life.

“I support this couple,” one Instagram user commented. Most of Cameron’s followers seemed to agree, with one person writing that they would totally “ship a Tyler C + Kim K romance.” Another fan added that the duo would “quite literally make the hottest couple,” and it seems that several members of Bachelor Nation think so, too. “Cute couple tbh,” Rachael Kirkconnell wrote. Matt James, also commented, referring to his best friend as “my dawg” and leaving three laughing emojis.

While it’s unlikely that anything romantic will come from Kardashian’s hosting gig, it’s worth noting that both she and Cameron are single right now. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, and she even joked on SNL that they split because of the rapper’s “personality.” Cameron, for his part, recently split from his girlfriend Camila Kendra after eight months together.

According to a Page Six insider, “things took a turn” shortly after the former Bachelorette contestant gushed over Kendra on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “Things were going well until they weren’t,” a source told Us Weekly of their breakup. “Friends were surprised things ended so quickly.”

Kim's fans want her to be the next Bachelorette after SNL dating show sketch

The US Sun 11 October, 2021 - 07:55am

KIM Kardashian's fans begged for her to be the next Bachelorette after she "killed it" in her SNL dating show sketch alongside a host of celebrity co-stars.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star made her debut on the comedy show this past Saturday as she helped "boost" ratings with her appearance.

Kim, 40, has been slated by fans to be the next Bachelorette after she took on a similar role during her SNL skit over the weekend.

The reality star dressed the part of a dating show lead as she chose between a slew of fake potential suitors, including WWE legend John Cena.

The TV personality handed out tokens that simulated The Bachelor's famous rose ceremony, while dressed in a stunning yellow dress covered in sequins.

After sifting through her fake "finalists", Kim was left with the wrestler and a much smaller "Zeke" played by SNL cast member Kyle Mooney.

Despite making jokes about how he's already married, the E! star chose John over the comedian.

Kim's fans were incredibly impressed by the skit and expressed their hopes that she could be cast in the famed dating show's next season.

One user commented: "Only if Kris Jenner hosts 🌹", as they joked about the Kardashian family momager.

"That would actually get me to watch that show," another remarked, while a third agreed: "I WOULD WATCH."

A fourth fan gushed: "She did great on snl 😍yes Kim the next bachelorette," while a final simply hashtagged: "#KIMFORBACHELORETTE."

Kim's Saturday Night Live debut received rave reviews from fans, though also raised questions regarding her relationship with her ex-husband Kanye West, 44.

In one particular skit, the mother of four portrayed Disney's Princess Jasmine, alongside comedian Pete Davidson who played Aladdin.

Towards the end of the scene, the 27-year-old star planted a kiss on his famous counterpart, leading fans to show concern towards her relationship with Kanye.

Kim filed for divorce from the rapper in February after seven years married and the pair share four kids: North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.

Despite splitting ways, the duo has remained close while co-parenting their kids and supporting each other in their career endeavors.

After the news broke that the KKW Beauty founder would be hosting SNL, a source revealed to The Sun that she had reportedly planned to "roast" her ex-husband on the show.

During her opening monologue, Kim said she "married the best rapper of all time,” but she "divorced him" because "it came down to just one thing: his personality.”

With the kiss and the diss, Yeezy fans jumped onto Twitter to share memes of Kanye losing Kim's affections.

One person posted an image of Kanye rubbing his forehead in defeat while another shared an image of himself crying, with tears dripping down his face.

Despite their age gap, some fans were hopeful that Kim and Pete's kiss could mean a new relationship in their future.

Many raced to Twitter to share their hopes that the unlikely pair will date.

"Y’all think Kim Kardashian is gonna start dating Pete Davidson after SNL? I do!" one guessed.

Another person added: "I think Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson should go on one date."

A third person posted: "I saw Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson kiss with my own two eyes."
