In case you haven’t heard, Keeping Up With the Kardashians is coming to an end after 14 years and 20 seasons on the air.
With this marking the end of an era, many are curious about certain details surrounding the show’s final season, including when the series finale will air. Here’s what we know so far.
After more than a decade on air, the Kardashian-Jenners have decided to pull the plug on KUWTK.
Kim Kardashian West first broke this devastating news on social media back in October 2020.
“After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children,” a statement shared on her Instagram page read. “We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
She continued, “Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she continued. “I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”
Five months later, on March 18, 2021, KUWTK season 20 premiered on E!, and since then, drama has been at the center of each episode.
From Scott Disick and Sofia Richie’s breakup to Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson rekindling their relationship, this season has so far shown no mercy.
There have even been some major reveals about Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s relationship, which many of us were not expecting.
As of this writing, only seven episodes have aired, with the latest installment covering the Kardashian-Jenners’ decision to end KUWTK with this season.
Though we’re only a few episodes in, the drama is just getting started as there are still more chapters ahead!
When it comes to the final episode of KUWTK, E! has not yet confirmed a date for the finale.
Though the official premiere date remains under wraps, Kardashian Dish reports that season 20 will consist of 12 episodes in total, which would mean that we have only five more to go until the show is over for good. This would put the series finale date at June 10, 2021.
Also, seeing as KUWTK dropped a mid-season trailer a few days before episode 7 aired on May 6, that’s another hint that there are only a few chapters left until we say goodbye to the beloved reality show.
As for what is is still left to cover this season, the outlet reports that Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West’s divorce issues will be highlighted.
Fans can also expect to see Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson move forward with their plans to have another baby.
With this information alone, we have a feeling that the remaining episodes of KUWTK will be ones to remember. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the season!

On tonight, May 6's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the Kardashian family made the tough decision to end the hit E! series after 20 seasons. Kim Kardashian called the crew "extended family" before breaking down in tears while announcing this would be their final season.
Meanwhile Khloe Kardashian wasn't as convinced they should end things after 14 years onscreen. "It's definitely clear that everyone's decisions have been made but mine is the only one that would be against the rest of the family," Khloe confessed in this heartbreaking episode.
Kourtney Kardashian described her rocky relationship with KUWTK. "We always said we would do it together as long as we all wanted to do it and felt happy and that it made sense," Kourtney explained in a confessional. "I've definitely had my moments when I wasn't fully comfortable with filming and then there's so many exciting moments like where we've had the best times and great family trips and so many experiences that we wouldn't have had if we weren't filming. I think it's been a love-hate relationship."
The family—led by Kris Jenner—are shown making the social media rounds to confirm the news. Khloe cried while deciding whether to add a broken heart emoji in an Instagram post before calling it all "very overwhelming." Kim added that she's "ready for a break."
Yet it was Kourtney who later dealt with some unexpected backlash online. "It's so funny, there's all these memes online of like, 'Kourtney Kardashian single-handedly ended KUWTK,'" she vented to Scott Disick.
"Why? Because you've said before that you don't, like, love filming and stuff like that so they assume you're the one who made the decision?" Scott defended her. "Does it bother you?"
"Yeah they're saying it as a joke but I'm sure there's people who really believe it," Kourtney replied.
Scott said it's "obviously not true," and that wrapping up KUWTK was a family decision. Kourtney agreed and even revealed that this isn't the first time the Kardashians have questioned whether or not to continue the series.
"Every time our contract's up we always have this conversation of like, 'Do we want to keep doing this? What are we happy with? What do we want to do?'" Kourtney explained. "If everyone wanted to keep doing it I'm sure I would have kept doing it too. Unless I found my island to move to...."
But Scott seemed to have a personal reason why he's hesitant to say goodbye to KUWTK. "My biggest fear is that we will float apart and not see each other nearly as much because if we don't work together every day, we're surely not going to see each other every day," Scott told the camera. "It's very sad to me, you know. It's kind of the ending of an era."
Could Scott be worried about losing touch with Kourtney, especially after professing his love for her?
"It was going to come to an end at some point," Kourtney concluded. Who else is now dying to see the reunion special?! We'll just have to wait for more episodes first to see how it all ends.

Peter Phillips and his estranged wife, Autumn, are heading to court for a financial settlement hearing over their divorce. The couple, who have two daughters, announced last February that they were divorcing, after 12 years of marriage. A High Court judge will next week hear from lawyers for each party as they seek to separate their finances and agree a settlement. The pre-trial review hearing will be heard remotely before Mr Justice Peel in the Family Division. Mr Phillips has retained Nicholas Yates QC, a leading divorce lawyer whose online profile says he handles “complex cases relating to significant assets and jurisdictional disputes” and also “leads negotiations in high-value postnuptial agreements”. He worked alongside Ayesha Vardag last year, representing wealthy businessman Simrin Choudhrie, 38, who sought £100 million from Bhanu Choudhrie, 41, an heir of one of India's richest families who appeared on the Channel 4 reality show The Secret Millionaire. Mr Phillips, 43, the only son of the Princess Royal, has applied for reporting restrictions barring the disclosure of financial and other personal details.

Dr. Rajendra Kapila, an infectious disease expert and professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, died of COVID-19 last month while in India. Kapila, 81, died on April 28, three weeks after testing positive for COVID-19, ABC News reports. India is the world's biggest COVID-19 hotspot, and Kapila went to the country to help care for relatives, his ex-wife, Dr. Bina Kapila, told WABC. She said he only planned on staying in India for a short period of time. In a statement, Rutgers called Kapila a "genuine giant in the field of infectious diseases" who was "recognized worldwide and sought out for his legendary knowledge and extraordinary clinical acumen in diagnosing and treating the most complex infectious diseases." Kapila founded Rutgers' Division of Infectious Diseases, was a founding member of the New Jersey Infectious Disease Society, and "provided care to tens of thousands of patients and trained numerous generations of medical students, residents, and fellows," Rutgers said. His wife, Dr. Deepti Saxena-Kapila, said her husband was fully vaccinated before traveling to India; while it is extremely rare for a vaccinated person to die of COVID-19, most who have died had underlying health conditions and were older, ABC News reports. Kapila's ex-wife told WABC he had heart issues and diabetes.
