Social media users had some fun Monday after Keke Palmer asked Brooklyn Beckham where he’s from.
Beckham, the son of British soccer icon David Beckham, did an interview with Palmer on the red carpet at the Met Gala, where the theme is “In America.”
Palmer posed the question during a Vogue livestream from the red carpet after it came up that the London-born Beckham isn’t from the United States.
“keke palmer asking where brooklyn beckham is from is the most american part of this met gala so far,” wrote the Twitter user @vauntlaurent.
Fellow Twitter user KiarraTee, meanwhile, wrote, “Keke Palmer interviewing Brooklyn Beckham and asking him where he’s from is sending me.”
Beckham, 22, attended the Met Gala with fiancée Nicola Peltz.
