When is Nvidia stock split?

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) will be executing a 4-to-1 stock split, and shares are expected to start trading on a split-adjusted basis on July 20. NasdaqIs Nvidia Stock a Buy Now After the 4-to-1 Stock Split?

MYLES UDLAND: Let's stay on Netflix and bring in Greg Portell, partner and head of global consumer industries and retail practice at Kearney. Greg, thanks for jumping on with us this morning. You've heard us talking a little bit about our outlook for Netflix. I'm just curious how you're thinking about the business as we enter the second half of '21 and continue to see a little bit maybe of that pandemic bump for the company?

GREG PORTELL: Well, it's interesting that you're talking about a story from 2015 because the competitive market for Netflix was very different back then. They were acquiring subscribers through trial and now they have to acquire them through share of wallet. So are they able to put together a better offering to consumers so the consumers actually choose them over other competitive streaming services? Part of that is content and part of that is pricing strategy as you were discussing earlier.

BRIAN SOZZI: Greg, is part of the problem with Netflix shares down year to date, surprisingly underperforming, that their free cash flow outlook is really under pressure as they're going back out there and creating original content?

GREG PORTELL: Well, they're investing heavily but they are managing to generate profit and increasing rates. So they're running themselves as a more mature business. That makes investors look at it a little bit differently because they aren't just focused purely on growth, they're focused on the ability to build assets in the form of content that allows them to lengthen that monetary window.

JULIE HYMAN: Well, clearly, they can't keep growing at that same pace, right? But investors seem to still want that growth, they're not necessarily viewing them as a mature company or they're not happy with them as a mature company. So if there is going to be another phase of growth, is it going to come from video games, is it going to just come from doing more video offerings? I mean, what-- kind of where are they going to get that juice from?

GREG PORTELL: The risk for any media company is to get landlocked, they can get landlocked in a particular channel, they can get landlocked by a particular geography. It's interesting to see Netflix start to prevent against that or protect against that in the sense of going into video games. So I would expect them to actively look for opportunities to push into new and different recurring revenue streams. And video games is at the top of that list.

BRIAN SOZZI: Greg, how big a catalyst is it to Netflix earnings if they come out and raise prices?

GREG PORTELL: Well, clearly, they've shown an ability to retain subscribers throughout the pandemic. So if they're going to raise prices and make that announcement now, you're going to see a lot of optimism that they'll be able to hold that price increase as they start rolling out the new content toward the end of the year. So if they come out with a price increase, you would expect that to not impact their subscriber growth too much. So it would be very positive.

MYLES UDLAND: And you know, Greg, just finally, maybe zooming out and thinking about the landscape generally, you know, just yesterday we see a major news company come out and announce their own streaming service. Everyone and their mother has some kind of over-the-top offering. I'm just curious, like on a binary basis good or bad, does that end up being a net positive for Netflix, does it maybe reinforce I'm trying to ask the benefit of that platform and that model when a lot of other folks are releasing the same stuff but now you get to pay for it and use an app to find it?

GREG PORTELL: Well, when you're in a competitive marketplace that's increasingly becoming more competitive, being the largest player on the block helps. So they have protection of size and scale. What they need to do is make sure that they are building a marketing capability that's transitioning to something that can actually compete for share. Because if they can compete for share, their size gives them a large advantage against some of these upstarts.

MYLES UDLAND: All right, Greg Portell, partner and head of global consumer industries and retail practice over at Kearney. Greg, always appreciate the time. Thanks for jumping on today.

Shares of Endo International (NASDAQ: ENDP) were soaring 23.2% higher as of 11:15 a.m. EDT on Tuesday. District Attorney General Barry Staubus told Tennessee News Channel 11 (WJHL) that Endo has extended an offer to settle the case. Jury selection was scheduled to begin in a few days.

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (Reuters) -In its quest to build one of the largest lithium mines in the United States, Piedmont Lithium Inc has overlooked one crucial constituency: its North Carolina neighbors. Piedmont last autumn signed a deal to supply U.S. electric automaker Tesla Inc with lithium sourced from its deposits in North Carolina, sending the company's stock up tenfold. Piedmont has also hired investment banks to find investors for its $840 million project, which would include an open-air pit more than 500 feet (152 m) deep and facilities to produce lithium-based electric vehicle (EV) battery chemicals.

Shares of the small-cap biotech Ardelyx (NASDAQ: ARDX) fell by a whopping 73.2% in pre-market action Tuesday morning. The drugmaker's stock is tanking today in response to a July 13 letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding the company's New Drug Application (NDA) for tenapanor as a treatment for controlling serum phosphorus in adult patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis. Per a press release from Ardelyx, the letter reportedly stated that the FDA found deficiencies in the NDA that preclude discussion around the would-be labeling and post-marketing requirements for tenapanor.

Industrial behemoth General Electric (NYSE: GE) couldn't fight the tide yesterday. As Wall Street sold off on worries of a reinvigorated, Delta variant-fueled COVID-19 pandemic that would devastate demand for air travel -- and airplane engines -- shares of General Electric sold off as well. Remember, General Electric used to depend on sales of airplane engines to provide as much as 35% of its revenues.

Shares of Plug Power (NASDAQ: PLUG) dropped nearly 3% in morning trading Tuesday, before stopping and reversing course, following the market higher. This morning, analysts at Morgan Stanley lowered their price target on Plug stock to $35 a share. This wasn't a huge reduction -- Morgan Stanley had previously valued the stock at $36.

Thanks to its globally in-demand coronavirus vaccine, Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA) is one of the hottest companies on the market right now. In my view, Moderna will probably continue to outperform, but there's a solid chance that its growth could soon either slow down -- or potentially accelerate. The argument in favor of buying Moderna today is that its future revenue from vaccine sales will likely be even larger than today's.

Shares of SolarWinds (NYSE: SWI) are down more than 41% as of 11:10 a.m. EDT, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence. This was just days before it was revealed by security firm FireEye (NASDAQ: FEYE) that a breach on its systems was exploited through SolarWinds IT monitoring and management software Orion -- which FireEye and a slew of other tech companies and government agencies use, and through which Russian hackers had infiltrated their systems. It's been tough going for SolarWinds ever since.

The stock market bounced back hard on Tuesday, and the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) did quite well. Up 1.5% as of 12:45 p.m. EDT today, the Nasdaq is actually up slightly on the week after a big roller coaster ride. Many investors follow the Dow Jones Industrial Average more closely than the Nasdaq.

The stock market has been soaring to new heights in recent weeks and months, even though the coronavirus persists in some places, the economy hasn't fully recovered, and stimulus payments are still propping things up. If I owned Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA), fuboTV (NYSE: FUBO), or Pinterest (NYSE: PINS), I'd be considering selling them right now. Moderna has soared by 250% in 12 months, and for good reason -- its COVID-19 vaccine obtained emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last year.

For the first time in a generation, the power balance in the workplace has shifted to workers, and businesses who try to hold on to talent with perks like no-Zoom Fridays and signing bonuses for warehouse workers are falling behind. The data prove that a culture of recognition — both managers and peers recognizing each other and saying “thanks for the good work” — goes a long way toward increasing loyalty, mitigating burnout and making people feel valued. While your competitors squeeze their bottom lines in a salary arms race, consider how the power of recognition can attract and retain employees.
