PlayStation Plus Free Games For July 2021 Revealed

GameSpot 01 July, 2021 - 11:37am

Call of Duty, wrestling and a modern classic make for a very nice month.

PlayStation Plus follows up a very strong June line-up with another trio of solid games for July 2021 that are completely free for subscribers.

As has been the case lately, we've gotten two PS4 titles and one PS5 one, with the latter being another game that's debuting on Plus the day it's released, in a sense.

The game in question is A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game originally released on last-gen consoles in 2019, but is getting a current-gen upgraded version on the same day it releases on Plus with all the 4K, 60FPS, fast loading and other bells and whistles you've come to expect.

The game is set in France during the Inquisition and follows a brother and sister as they sneak about and avoid slaughter. But it's not just ruthless knights they need to avoid, as the title implies, there are swarms of unstoppable rats devouring anything and everything in their path. As well as using stealth, you can use your brains and get the rats to actually eat the Inquisitors, which never gets old.

It's very much a cult classic, but definitely one that deserves a wider audience and is well worth checking out, especially with a newly-announced sequel on its way next year. The Platinum trophy is also very achievable, if you're into that sort of thing.

Only the PS5 version is free via Plus, but you can still add the game to your library without owning the new console (using the app or via a web browser), and it'll be ready to download when you do get one.

Meanwhile, if you're not a Plus subscriber but you do own the PS4 version of A Plague Tale you'll be eligible for a free PS5 version upgrade at any time.

The next game is a lot simpler to talk about. It's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. You already know what to expect from this franchise, with the main difference here being that it is entirely multiplayer-focused and no single-player campaign.

PS Plus freebies can often have really popular online lobbies, even if the game is a bit older (Star Wars: Battlefront II, for example) and with Black Ops 4 being playable on both consoles, matches should be busy for a good while to come.

July's Plus games will be available to claim for free between July 5 and August 2. You can download and play them as long as you have an active subscription.

How to visit Farmer Steel’s favorite places in Fortnite

PCGamesN 01 July, 2021 - 11:12am

Track down the missing farmer by visiting some of his regular haunts

Looking for Farmer Steel’s favourite places? The Fortnite Season 7 Week 4 Legendary challenges are live, and this week’s tasks are all about tracking down Farmer Steel – a Fortnite NPC who’s gone missing. He’s disappeared from his usual post at Steel Farm, where he can usually be found keeping a watchful eye on his corn – incidentally, there have been a few Fortnite aliens flying around recently, so we suspect they might have something to do with it.

These aliens have left Fortnite alien artifacts scattered around the place; pick these up if you want to customise your Fortnite Kymera skin by purchasing various alien features. Alien parasites are also attaching themselves to any poor Fortnite animals unfortunate enough to find them. If you’re willing to sacrifice a bit of your health, you can get a parasite of your very own. Lovely.

After searching the farm for clues in Fortnite, the next step is to look for Farmer Steel at some of his favourite places. As a man of excellent taste, he is – of course – a patron of a fine dining restaurant, among other locations, so it’s time to follow in his footsteps and hopefully find more information about what happened to him.

That’s how to find Farmer Steel’s favourite places – all you need to do is step foot inside each of them to complete the challenge. After this, the next step is to place missing person signs in Fortnite in particular locations. You must also find the Fortnite doomsday preppers guide to complete this week’s challenges and level up your Battle Pass.

Story Trailer For Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 7

To find the farm clues in Fortnite, you need to visit Steel Farm, which is a landmark location to the east of Corny Complex on the Fortnite map. If you're having trouble finding it, simply glide towards Corny Complex and then make sure you land by the house on the opposite side of the river.

Here are the locations of the farm clues:

While there are four farm clues, you only need to find two to complete this challenge.

One clue can be found near a pile of logs north of the farm house on the opposite side of the river.

A second can be found by a cluster of stones just east of the bridge which connects Steel Farm to Crony Complex.

You can find another clue by the trees near the farmhouse.

A fourth clue can be found next to the tractor in the cornfield.

Story Trailer For Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 7

There is a total of three locations to where to visit Farmer Steel's favourite places in the Fortnite map.

These are a lake, a pond and a landmark. You only need to get close enough to them for it to count towards the challenge.

Here are the locations of Farmer Steel's favourite places:

While there is no specific order to follow, we've found the following one to be the most straightforward - depending on where the circle is closing, you may need to split the challenge across two matches.

From the bus, we suggest dropping off on Lake Canoe first, which is located northwest of Retail Row. There is a barn right next to the western road, which is where you'll want to get close to.

From here, we recommend taking one of the boats and follow the river north towards Pizza Pit, the landmark found slightly northeast of Corny Complex.

Lastly, start sprinting towards the western side of the map, since the third location is found at Flopper Pond, which is northeast of Holly Hedges. Once more, get close to the barn that overlooks the pond, and the challenge will be over.
