Sony Deletes PlayStation 5 Ad After Twitter Observers Notice the Console Is Actually Upside Down - IGN

The video ad itself was short and sweet, including a father and a son interacting before the father sat down to play notorious father-son duo game, God of War. But, as you can see above, the PS5 he was playing it on was upside down, with the disc drive on the top right instead of the bottom left. Clearly, whoever set this up wasn't using the stand attachment, which wouldn't allow for this type of nonsense.

This is all sort of silly, of course — obviously you can position a PS5 however you want (accepting the natural consequences for, say, an untenable vertical upside-down situation), though doing it in the manner shown in the deleted video means you'd have to insert all your discs upside down, and the USB port would be all wrong, and so forth. But Sony evidently felt the branding was unacceptable and has taken down the video — it has not yet been reposted with the correct PlayStation orientation.

Sony has bigger fish to fry today, anyway, with a State of Play scheduled for later this afternoon that is expected to include a look at Deathloop, as well as updates on indies and other third-party titles. We've been told no Horizon Forbidden West, PSVR, or (sadly for the dad in the video) new God of War news in this event, though. Presumably all the consoles shown will be right-side-up, anyway.
