In an interview with ET Online, royal author and expert Omid Scobie explained that there are "still feelings of anger" toward Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, about the "way the couple carried out their departure from their royal lives," and that Will, in particular, "has not been able to come to terms" with the whole situation yet.

"The relationship between Harry and William is still very much one of distance," Scobie said. "I don't just mean physical [distance], across the Atlantic, but they are not talking that much, and that is exactly how sources close to William have put it."

Scobie says that Will and Harry have been able to put their differences aside temporarily when they need to for big family moments (like Prince Philip's funeral or when they reunited this summer to unveil the memorial statue in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana), but that those big moments haven't led to any *real* improvements in their relationship.

So how can William and Harry make progress in ending their "feud"? According to Scobie, both brothers are going to have to really embrace an "agree to disagree" mentality and acknowledge that they "will never see eye to eye." He also says they're going to have to abandon their current strategy of keeping their interactions short and super formal and really have a heart-to-heart.

"There's gonna have to be an effort where they step outside that and actually make time to talk properly," Scobie said. "Otherwise, we're gonna stay in this situation for a very long time."
