Spanish TV presenter's scathing rant on "overweight" Hazard translated in full

Mirror Online 06 May, 2021 - 10:00pm

Real Madrid flop Eden Hazard was spotted laughing with his former team-mates after Chelsea knocked his current side out of the Champions League on Wednesday.

Hazard was disappointing as Madrid crashed out of the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.

Timo Werner and Mason Mount scored the two goals as the Blues progressed to their first Champions League final since 2012.

After the game, however, Hazard was seen laughing and joking about with his old team-mates.

Those images quickly went viral, leading to one Spanish TV presenter tearing into the Belgian winger.

Speaking to El Chiringuito TV, Josep Pedrerol lashed out at Hazard and referenced his weight issues he suffered with after his £130million move from Chelsea.

He called on Madrid to sell Hazard, and claimed he was "taking the p***" out of fans.

The winger has suffered from injury issues throughout his time at the Bernabeu, and has scored just four times for the club in all competitions since his 2019 move.

Speaking in a foul-mouthed rant, Pedrerol said: "Madrid are eliminated, and look at Hazard.

"Two years taking the p*** out of Madrid fans. Two years overweight.

"A lot of people say he is the new Bale. Madrid have spent years waiting for him, negotiating for him, spent £100m on him.

"They've just been eliminated, and it is possible for him to find something funny?

"After Zidane gave him the opportunity to play when he didn't deserve it? He laughs at everyone?

"There is a lot to analyse about Madrid, such as Zidane's future, whether Ramos is fit or not to continue, whether there must be changes in the team, whether new signings must be made such as [Kylian] Mbappe, as well as [David] Alaba. There have to be big changes.

"But the situation with Hazard is very serious. Hazard cannot continue for one second more in Madrid."
