Just like other multiplayer games, Apex Legends has got its fair share of annoying bugs and niggles that might seem easy to fix but actually take a while to get sorted out.
The most annoying of these have revolved around Legend abilities, but in the last few months, there has been a major headache for players who queue up for duo games by themselves.
More often than not, if you queue up as a solo and search for a duos match, you won’t actually find a teammate and will have to battle it out all by yourself.
However, most of the time, you’d rather just have a teammate, so Respawn have been hard at work to figure the problem out, and it seems like they’ve got it sorted in the 9.1 patch that’s coming on June 29.
Respawn’s Ryan Rigney answered some complaints about the ongoing issue on Twitter, saying the devs believe they’ve got it straightened out. “Our engineers *think* we’ve fixed it this time but this one in particular has been so hard to nail down that we want to wait and see before declaring victory,” he said.

The new fix will roll out as a part of the update on June 29, but as Rigney notes, it’ll take a little stress testing from players before we find out if the issue is gone for good.
If not, it’ll be back to the drawing board for Respawn to see if they can get it ironed out. Though, many players are hoping that won’t be the case.

A new exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that lets players abuse Wraith’s ultimate for unlimited speed boosts.
Now, a new one has been discovered for the Legend Wraith that players are abusing. This exploit is giving the character unlimited speed boosts so that she can keep rotating across the map and dodging attacks.
This glitch was discovered by Reddit user Historical_Permit_38 who highlighted it in a post in the Apex Legends subreddit. They were killed by a Wraith during a match and decided to take a look at what happened.
After spectating the enemy player for a short while, it became clear that the opponent had abused an exploit that allowed them to keep using the speed boost to get around the map. This seemed to be linked to Wraith’s ultimate ability.
The footage showed the player using the speed boost after activating a Dimensional Rift, fooling the game into thinking that they were repeatedly traveling through the same portal.
This exploit lets the player repeatedly speed boost across the map without any limit, making it nearly impossible to shoot them down and giving them an unfair advantage.
This post has over 6,000 upvotes at the time of writing. Hopefully, this will catch the attention of the developers, and they’ll issue an update patch to fix the problem soon enough.
A new job listing from Respawn seems to hint at the developers possibly introducing brand-new maps for the Apex Legends Arenas and BR modes.
After the Apex Legends developers teased the return of the well-missed Kings Canyon POI, Skull Town, players have been eager to learn what other map changes Respawn has planned for the future.
At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be a new map arriving anytime soon in the Legacy update. Still, a job listing from Respawn seems to hint at the arrival of new original maps in the future since they’re looking for a new level designer.
Respawn’s Jason McCord confirmed on Twitter that the Apex Legends developers are searching for a technical designer and another level designer to work on new map updates.
The recruits would work on Town Takeover events, along with maps for both the battle royale and 3v3 Arenas modes. This could mean that some new locations for Apex Legends are on the horizon.
McCord also hinted at additional “special projects” in his post, but we don’t know for sure what those entail. They could be related to LTMs or even other games than Apex.
We don’t know when exactly we can expect to see a brand-new map arrive in Apex Legends, as Respawn could be saving new additions for Season 10 or other future updates.
Kings Canyon was the only playground for fans to jump into when Apex first launched. Three seasons later, World’s Edge was introduced, with Olympus arriving during Season 7, which has given players various environments to enjoy over the years.
As soon as we have more on Respawn’s plans for new maps, we’ll be sure to let you know. Stay tuned on Charlie INTEL for more Apex Legends, as we will have all the latest here, including everything you need to know about the exciting Genesis Collection Event.
Heirlooms are the rarest items in Apex Legends, and unlocking them can be extremely costly. Here’s how you can save money while getting them.
Heirlooms are unique melee weapons that are suited to specific characters, and there nine of them in Apex Legends currently. Revenant’s “Dead Man’s Curve” Scythe in the Genesis Collection Event was the latest one.
These are particularly difficult to get your hands on as they’re the rarest cosmetics in Apex Legends. However, there are a few ways for you to get past the exceedingly high costs while unlocking Heirlooms.
You can unlock Heirlooms by collecting shards, purchasing 500 packs, or by playing through an Apex Legends Collection Event. Once you’ve collected 24 items in the event, you’ll use the packs to get the cosmetic.
However, each pack will set you back 700 Apex Coins, and you’ll need to spend around $160 if you want to ensure that you get your hands on an Heirloom. There a few different approaches that you can take to save money.
If you want to save up and ensure that you’re getting your money’s worth, then you should purchase event bundles, rather than individual packs. The Genesis Collection Event has brought a couple of these.
The Loba Petty Thief and Crypto Inconspicuous bundles will not only grant you some new skins, but a total of 10 event packs as well. So rather than having to purchase 24 packs, you’ll just need 14 more.
Players that have EA Play receive 10% off for in-game purchases. You can use this to your advantage by getting a $5 subscription to to this service.
Here’s what you need to do:
This will complete the process, and you will now save 10% on Apex Packs and bundles. While you’ll need to spend money on the subscription, it’ll be worth it for all that you save in the long-run.
Using any Crafting metals that you have will further reduce the cost of unlocking Heirlooms. The price varies, depending upon the amount of materials that you have. You’ll be able to get the Heirloom for free with 38,400 of them.
However, that’s an extremely high amount, and you’ll most likely still have to pay a certain amount. Even with a few thousand Crafting Metals, the overall price will come out at over $100.
Of course, there’s really no need to invest that much if you want don’t want to. You can try your luck with the in-game Apex Packs. You’re guaranteed to get shards after opening 500 of these packs.
There ways for you to check how close you are to an Heirloom in Apex Legends. You can try out the options above if you’re willing to pay a certain amount, and these will be cheaper than purchasing 24 event packs.
Apex Legends latest event trailer and patch notes revealed that Revenant would indeed be receiving some significant buffs.
Players looking for something new in Apex Legends will be excited for the new content to drop, especially as we may see a meta shift due to the changes that were revealed. One of the most interesting changes, which could see the Legend become top tier, is Revenant’s climbing buff.
As well as being the next Legend to receive an Heirloom for the Genesis Collection Event, Revenant has also been given some changes in the patch notes.
The new Revenant buff was detailed in the official patch notes by Respawn Entertainment, along with a video presenting what players can expect.
Here are the official changes coming to Revenant:
Although the reduced times for Silence and death protection while using the Death Totem is definitely a big nerf for the Legend, the Apex Legends Revenant buff to his Stalker climb height and slimmed down hitbox could appeal to many [players and potentially shoot him up the Legend meta.
As it says in the Patch notes, Revenant’s new climbing buff isn’t “literally unlimited,” but it is significantly higher than before.
To show just how high he can climb, the devs revealed a video showing him climbing up the building under construction just outside Fragment East/West.
Revenant be CLIMBING 😳 pic.twitter.com/wweqc5NLGQ
This building is 5 stories high, and the fact that Revenant is now able to climb all the way to the top means there will be a crazy amount of options for the Legend to take fights and push enemies all over every map. Thanks to the powerful Apex Legends Revenant buff.
This Apex Legends Revenant buff could draw a lot of attention to the Legend, and players may use/encounter him much more when the update finally drops.
For those who already love using Revenant, we’re sure you couldn’t have asked for anything better, as although the devs teased that they would be buffing his climbing ability, not many were expecting it to be this much of an increase.

Here's everything you need to know as we countdown to the Genesis Collection Event...
Respawn Entertainment is being a bit quiet about when exactly we'll be able to play Apex Legends' newest Collection Event. That doesn't mean we don't know when it's going to start, though.
Shrugtal, a notable Apex Legends leaker, has suggested that the new update will be released at around 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST. This lines up with when Apex Legends usually receives its updates and means the Genesis Collection Event could start as early as 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST on June 29th.
The event is due to run for two weeks, so there's plenty of time to get stuck into everything on offer!
It wouldn't be a Collection Event without one of these, would it?
There are 16 rewards in total to earn throughout the Genesis Collection Event as a part of the Genesis Rewards Track. As you can see below, there's a few Weapon Charms, a Charge Rifle Skin, an EVA-8 Skin, and a Wattson Legend Skin.
You'll be able to earn up to 1,600 points towards the Reward Track every day with event challenges refreshing every 24 hours. This might take you a little while, but if you're planning to play a lot anyway then you should be able to complete the Reward Track without any issues.
The Wattson Legend Skin isn't the only cosmetic to be added to the game with the Genesis Collection Event. There's a whole host of other skins that are on the way.
As you can see below, the following skins are going to be available in the Apex Legends in-game Store for the duration of the Genesis Collection Event:
This isn't all though, there's also a few more for the following Legends that you'll be able to unlock via Apex Packs:
Kings Canyon AND World's Edge are coming back? Respawn Entertainment really knows how to treat us right!
For the duration of the event, Season 0's Kings Canyon and Season 3's World's Edge are going to be featured in a Playlist Takeover for Standard Duos and Standard Trios. Skull Town is also going to be added to the Arenas map rotation during this time. Both will be on a one-hour rotation in their relevant playlists. This should mean you'll be able to play them an ample amount.
All of these map changes are only available for a limited time, though, so be sure to jump in when you can.
The new content is all well and good, but there's a lot going on behind the scenes too! Below, we've listed some of the Legend Balancing changes and Arenas mode changes that have been detailed in the latest Apex Legends Patch Notes...

With Fortnite, Epic Games didn’t just set the standard for battle royale games, but they continued to raise it with each new season and massive update. Everything that has come after can’t avoid a comparison.
Of course, Respawn have blazed a trail as well with Apex Legends, given it is a unique take on the battle royale genre itself with abilities and set characters.
The pair have taken inspiration from each other too with different features like the vaults and respawn beacons, but now fans want Respawn to follow a popular Fortnite LTM.
With Respawn bringing back the classic Kings Canyon map and all that Skull Town goodness, players want to go a step further and bring back classic hop-ups like Hammerpoint and Disruptor rounds.
Responding to the idea, some fans suggested that bringing the hop-ups back on a permanent basis wouldn’t work, but in a limited-time mode? Absolutely.
“They were unhealthy for the game, but I could be down for an LTM where old hop-ups come back though,” said Redditor Risk_Runner. “They weren’t good for the game, but an LTM where they say f**k the loot pool everything is everywhere would be so much fun,” added another fan. “I would love to see everything un-vaulted,” said another.
Other players gave the idea of a throwback LTM the thumbs up, especially if it means bringing back old maps to host it on too.
Bringing back classic maps on rotation for throwback weekends is an idea that players have suggested for quite some time, and it’d be interesting to see if the new idea catches Respawn’s idea.

The next Apex Legends update releasing on June 29th alongside the Genesis event will include some changes for the game’s Arenas mode. These changes will affect the prices of the weapons players purchase before rounds start, balance adjustments for different Legends’ abilities, and changes for the Arenas maps themselves. Patch notes for the update have revealed what’s happening ahead of time where the Arenas mode is concerned.
The bulk of the Arenas changes deal with the weapons available in the mode and how much they cost. Abilities make up the second-most amount of changes both in terms of prices and their cooldowns among other factors with the changes for the actual maps only taking up a small portion of the notes. A few bugs will be fixed when the patch releases, too.
