MEGHAN Markle says she’s made the “world’s biggest mistake” joining the royal family in a new trailer for the Lifetime movie being made about Megxit.

The new teaser clip for Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace was released on Instagram this week and shows the couple leaving behind their royal roles.

In the 30-second video, Meghan, played by actress Sydney Morton, questions if she made an error marrying into the royal family.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, played by Jordan Dean, insists he’ll “do everything in his power to keep his wife and son safe”.

Kate Middleton is also portrayed in the movie, and is seen in the trailer saying that marrying into the royal family is what they “signed up for.”

The on-screen Duchess of Cambridge can be seen saying: “This is the life we signed up for. Here, we value dignity above all else.”

In the trailer, Meghan’s character seems increasingly upset with royal life, saying: “I never thought this would be easy. But I wanted to make the Queen proud.

“Have I made the world's biggest mistake?”

Meanwhile, another clip shows the Queen, Harry, William and Kate sitting together having a tense discussion - which could be depicting the run up to Megxit in January 2020.

The TV movie is the third in a trilogy on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by Lifetime, with the previous two movies each being played by a different leads.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance in 2018 and Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal in 2019 focused on the early days of their relationship and their wedding respectively.

In shockingly bad taste, the film set features a recreation of the Paris accident in 1997, which killed Diana, Princess of Wales when she was 36.

Diana's boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed, 42, and their driver, Henri Paul, 41, were also killed in the crash, which shocked the world.

Images from production of the film show a car depicting the Mercedes which crashed in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel.

According to Deadline, the movie plot for the third film will share a fictionalised account of “what really happened inside the palace that drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind in order to make a future for themselves and their son Archie.”

The movie will also "detail Meghan’s growing isolation and sadness, their disappointment that 'The Firm' was not defending them against the press's attacks and Harry’s fear that history would repeat itself and he would not be able to protect his wife and son from the same forces that caused his mother's untimely death".

Other royals will also feature, with it set to "examine the dynamics between Will and Harry, Kate and Meghan, and Harry with Will and Charles, that lead to the ultimate break from the royal ties".

Meghan and Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which took place in March, will also be shown in the movie.

Meanwhile, in one emotional scene, Meghan tells Harry: “I am the person who is strong and gets things right.”

The duo appear to choose their relationship over their royal commitments, with Harry kissing Meghan on the forehead, and saying: “I can’t lose you.”

Filming is said to have begun last month in Vancouver - where the stars have filmed a number of recreations, including Harry and Meghan’s home video of them on the beach with Archie.

Meanwhile, Harry and William appeared to be in great form as they met face-to-face for the first time since their grandfather's funeral at the unveiling of Diana's statue.

CHARLES ‘RELIEVED’ WHEN MEGHAN AND HARRY CAME OFF PAYROLL

During Meghan and Harry’s tell all Oprah Interview, they claimed that they had been cut off by the royal family.

However, it was recently revealed that they had still been receiving nearly £4.5 million during the last financial year.

Now a royal expert has revealed that they believe Charles is now “relieved” that they are off the payroll.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward told the Daily Mail: “I imagine Prince Charles will be relieved as they will be off his payroll now, and the British public will be relieved because they can pay back what they owe now on Frogmore Cottage, so it’s a win-win situation.”

CHARLES HAILS WREXHAM VACCINE FACTORY STAFF FOR ROLE IN FIGHT AGAINST COVID

The Prince of Wales has praised staff at a vaccine factory for the part they have played in the battle against Covid-19.

On Monday, Charles visited Wockhardt UK in Wrexham, North Wales, to see for himself the company’s key role in the vaccination rollout across the UK.

Wockhardt has been instrumental in the manufacture of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine and carries out the “fill and finish” stage of the process which involves dispensing the vaccine into vials ready for it to be sent out across the country.

The firm has a manufacturing contract with the UK Government in place until August 2022.

During his tour of the high-tech site, which employs more than 500 people, Charles donned protective gear to visit the firm’s quality control laboratory, where 300 million doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine are currently being produced.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE QUEEN, EXPERT CLAIMS

Speaking on YouTube, royal expert and former socialite Lady Colin Campbell said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex simply will not be able to get away with everything they want to get away with.

“Harry knows that the Queen is a very tolerant person and so he and the wife have been taking full advantage of her tolerance in the hope that they would get away with everything,” she said.

“But as we have seen and we are going to see more and more, they have not got away with everything and they’re not being allowed to get away with everything,” Lady C added.

KATE TO ATTEND WIMBLEDON FINALS WEEKEND AFTER SELF-ISOLATING

The Duchess of Cambridge will attend both Wimbledon singles finals this weekend after completing a period of self-isolation.

Kate will be joined for the ladies' singles final by the Duke of Cambridge on Saturday, five days after Kensington Palace announced she was self-isolating after being in close contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19.

Kensington Palace said her self-isolation period will have finished by Saturday but did not confirm when it officially ended.

FOOTBALL FAN WILLIAM WEMBLEY-BOUND FOR ENGLAND'S EURO 2020 SHOWDOWN

The Duke of Cambridge will be among those hoping to celebrate Euro 2020 glory at Wembley for Sunday's final.

William, who is president of the Football Association, has witnessed much of England's journey through the tournament at close quarters, having cheered the Three Lions to victory at Wembley on multiple occasions already.

He was present with other dignitaries to celebrate the team's extra-time victory over Denmark in the semi-final on Wednesday, alongside the likes of former England skipper David Beckham and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The duke was also seen celebrating England's historic 2-0 victory over Germany in the last 16 stage, where he was joined in the stands by the Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George.

The Aston Villa fan also saw the group D victory over the Czech Republic and the quarter-final demolition of Ukraine, and appears to have worn the same claret-and-blue striped tie to each game.

‘COMPASSION’ MEANS A LOT TO HARRY AND MEGHAN

The couple have again urged their fans to submit their own personal stories on their Archewell website after launching the initiative early last month, in what could be seen as a slight to the royals.

Writing on the website they said: “To us, compassion means more than the dictionary definition.

“It means listening with open ears to the suffering and celebrations of communities and people beyond ourselves.

“It means taking the time to understand their perspectives, experiences and needs based on what they say, rather than assuming what they need.” Compassion is at the core of everything we do. We hope you’ll join us in building a better world, one act of compassion at a time.”

Meghan has previously claimed when she reached out for help with the Palace’s Human Resources team, she was told because she was not a paid employee, she could not be supported.

Meghan Markle takes on strikingly different approach from Archie to Lilibet Diana

Express 08 July, 2021 - 02:49am

Meghan Markle "didn't get the royal treatment" on the birth certificate of her newborn baby daughter Lilibet "Lili" Diana. In a contrast to son Archie Harrison's certificate, only Prince Harry has used his royal title the Duke of Sussex, whilst Meghan was listed by her birth and maiden name.

"On Lilibet's birth certificate, only one of Lili's parents was referenced on the document using an official royal title - Prince Harry.

"The 36-year-old royal's first name is written as the Duke of Sussex, with HRH as his last name.

"As for his wife and Lili's mother Meghan, she didn't get the royal treatment."

The report continued: "The Duchess of Sussex is listed by her maiden name and birth name, Rachel Meghan Markle.

"Meghan's lack of royal title on Lili's birth certificate is a major omission in comparison to the birth certificate of her and Prince Harry's son Archie."

The certificate also confirms that Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Following the birth announcement, a spokesperson for the couple said that both mother and baby were "healthy and well, and settling in at home".

The couple chose to name Lilibet as a touching tribute to both her grandmother Princess Diana and great-grandmother, the Queen.

Lilibet was the childhood nickname of the Queen that was used by her parents King George Vi and the Queen Mother.

Their daughter is currently eighth-in-line to the throne and will be eligible for a Princess title once her grandfather Prince Charles ascends to the throne.

Lilibet has joined her older brother, two-year-old Archie Harrison, at the couple's home in Montecito, California.

Archie was born on May 6, 2019 whilst the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were still working members of the Royal Family.

Following royal protocol, the couple attended a photocall with their newborn son a few days after his birth and announced his arrival through traditional royal channels.

As the couple is no longer working royals, they did not need to follow royal protocol with Lilibet and are yet to release a photograph.
