Shailene Woodley is returning to screens (well, small ones at least) with the Netflix release of the upcoming romance “The Last Letter from Your Lover” on July 23. She was last seen in “The Mauritanian” and, before that, in Drake Doremus’ indie “Endings, Beginnings” and on the second season of HBO’s smash hit “Big Little Lies” — often portraying characters who have to bare more than just their soul.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Shailene Woodley talks about her break from the limelight, grappling with health issues, and her upcoming role. But she also speaks about her approach to filming movie sex scenes, which were demanded by “Endings, Beginnings,” and how she prefers, as THR’s Rebecca Keegan puts it, “realism over modesty.”

“I’ve never felt uncomfortable doing intimate scenes because I’m very vocal,” Woodley said. “I always sit down and talk with the director, the other actor. We always have conversations of, ‘How are you planning on shooting it? Is nudity necessary? Is it going to distract from the scene, add to the scene?’ We know exactly what the boundaries are. And I’ve never been in a situation where those things haven’t been honored.”

In “Endings, Beginnings,” Woodley plays a woman caught in a love triangle between Jamie Dornan and Sebastian Stan. In Augustine Frizzell’s “Last Letter from Your Lover,” she plays a 1960s socialite caught up in a star-crossed affair.

Woodley said that, in some cases, she feels onscreen sex screens are portrayed unrealistically: “Oftentimes in movies, you see two people having sex and the woman has her bra on, and in real life, I don’t think I ever did that, sex with a bra — or very, very rarely,” she said.

In the interview, Woodley also talked about dealing with a debilitating health condition that often prevented her from taking on new roles, though she said she’s at the “tail end of it” by now. “I said no to a lot of projects, not because I wanted to but because I physically couldn’t participate in them,” she said. “And I definitely suffered a lot more than I had to because I didn’t take care of myself. The self-inflicted pressure of not wanting to be helped or taken care of created more physical unrest throughout those years.”

Update On Harry Smith Returning To WWE

Wrestling Inc. 18 July, 2021 - 05:01pm

Harry Smith (aka Davey Boy Smith Jr.) returned to WWE last night after working a dark match, where he teamed up with Austin Theory. The two defeated Odyssey Jones and Xyron Quinn before SmackDown got going.

Smith has officially signed with WWE, according to a new report from PWInsider.

Smith and WWE agreed to a new contract going back as early as this past March, but things were kept quiet until it was the right time to bring him out. No other contract details were provided.

Smith, a former WWE Tag Team Champion, previously worked for the company from 2006-2011, and since then he has found significant international success for companies like, MLW, NJPW, and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Smith spoke with Megan Morant for a post-match backstage interview last night about coming back to WWE after being away for a decade.

“You know, it’s great to be back in the WWE, especially in front of the WWE Universe, live here in Houston, Texas,” Smith said. “The atmosphere, the ambience, the energy that you can feel from a live WWE audience, nothing can touch that and that’s why Harry Smith is back in the WWE. The past ten years I’ve been going around the globe, making myself the best competitor that I can be, all over in Japan, all over in Europe, and that’s why I’m back in the WWE, to show exactly how much Harry Smith has grown over this past time.”

Finn Balor Explains Why He Returned To WWE SmackDown

Wrestling Inc. 18 July, 2021 - 05:01pm

Following his journey back to SmackDown last night, Finn Balor is ready to conquer the main roster and climb the title rankings again. In an exclusive interview with Kayla Braxton on this week’s Talking Smack, “The Prince” spoke about what a privilege it was to return to the main roster in front of the WWE Universe, who were just as ecstatic to see him live and up close.

“It’s good to be back,” Finn Balor said with a smile. “It’s SmackDown. The fans are back, and Finn is back. I tell you, it was a hell of a pump. The energy is still running through my body. But, yeah, it’s good to be back.”

Braxton then asked Balor what specifically drove him to come back to the blue brand instead of Monday Night RAW, where he successfully became the inaugural Universal Champion and held the Intercontinental Championship twice.

“Obviously, there is always a plan,” Balor teased. “I went to NXT, [and] I became the NXT Champion. I moved to RAW, [and] became the first Universal Champion, [and] became the two-time Intercontinental Champion. I went back to NXT and won the NXT Championship.

“So, the reason that I’m here on SmackDown is to win championships. Buckle your seat belts; we’re going for a ride!”

WWE Money in the Bank 2021: Live Stream, Peacock Start Time and Match Card

Bleacher Report 18 July, 2021 - 12:00pm

WWE returned to the road with Friday's SmackDown, and the WWE Universe welcomed the Superstars back with open arms. Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view marks the first major event since WrestleMania that will have fans in attendance, so it should be a wild crowd.

The card for this show has been built up over the past several weeks. The WWE and universal title bouts could be considered WrestleMania-caliber contests, but it's the titular ladder matches that define this PPV.

Whoever wins the Money in the Bank briefcase will have the right to challenge any champion at any time. With a success rate of roughly 85 percent, it's almost a guarantee that winning this match will lead to a world title.

In addition to the men's and women's ladder matches, we will see the Raw and SmackDown tag titles defended, the Raw Women's Championship will be on the line, and the WWE and universal titles will be up for grabs.

Let's take a look at everything you need to know for Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Here is the lineup for the MITB PPV, according to WWE.com:

Venue: Dickie's Arena in Fort Worth, Texas

Start Time: 7 p.m. ET (kickoff), 8 p.m. ET (main show)

How to Watch: Peacock, WWE Network for international fans and select PPV providers

For fans in the United States, WWE Network's hub on the Peacock streaming service is where to watch the PPV. International fans can use the standard WWE Network. A list of devices that support Peacock TV can be found here.

The one-hour kickoff show will be available through most social media platforms, Fite TV, YouTube and WWE Network.

A select few cable and satellite providers still carry WWE pay-per-views, but for the most part, people will be watching Money in the Bank on WWE Network.

Here is a list of the devices that support the streaming service for international fans, according to WWE.com:

With this being WWE's first PPV with full attendance since Elimination Chamber 2020, the WWE Universe likely expects some special moments and big surprises.

The two matches the company has booked with the most ability to shock fans are the Money in the Bank bouts. With eight competitors in each contest, management has several options that would be genuine surprises.

Some are also hoping to see KofiMania 2.0 begin with a victory over Lashley for the WWE title, but after The All Mighty appeared to shed his ego and find his aggression on Monday, Kingston's chances seem slim.

Depending on how WWE lays out the card, we could see a cash-in the same night if one of the MITB bouts takes place before the major title matches. Just imagine the reaction if Edge won his first world title in a decade only to lose it moments later to Big E or Ricochet.

What if Ripley successfully fends off Charlotte just to lose the belt to someone like Asuka or Liv Morgan? WWE has the opportunity to book some shocking moments if it sets everything up in a certain order.

The lineup for this show has some potential bangers on the card, so regardless of who wins the briefcases, we should be in for a fun event.
