When does Season 4 Reloaded come out?
The Season 4 Reloaded update goes live on July 14/15 at 9 PM PT / July 15 at 12 AM ET / 5 AM UK so you only have a few more hours to wait. Forbes‘Call Of Duty’ Season 4 Reloaded Update Start-Time, New Maps, Guns, Modes And More
This year’s title is dubbed Call of Duty: Vanguard, which is being developed by Sledgehammer Games and will take the franchise back to World War II.
Activision has so far only commented “This is a built-for-next generation experience with stunning visuals across campaign, multiplayer and cooperative modes of play designed to both integrate with and enhance the existing COD ecosystem” for its next premium Call of Duty title.
For the past several months, I’ve reported that Call of Duty Vanguard is likely to be revealed in late August, which in part is due to Activision’s new direction with revealing its Call of Duty titles via Warzone.
Up until now, there have been no additional snippets of information to suggest that the reveal date will be sooner or later, but Gamescom’s latest announcement yesterday could give us some indication.
Gamescom announced that Activision will be participating in its annual event, which this year will be digital-only and be taking place from August 25 – 27.
Although this does not confirm Call of Duty Vanguard will be revealed before then, it does coincide with the rumblings I’ve previously heard.
Last year, Activision revealed Black Ops Cold War via an in-game Warzone event, which was the first of its kind for Call of Duty.
Combining all the dates together, we can predict that the Call of Duty Vanguard Warzone reveal will likely take place between August 18 – 25, which not only gives the developers time to tease but gives Activision the perfect global stage to talk more about the reveal at Gamescom.

Players were somehow carrying the pre-match loadout over into the battle royale
If you're unfamiliar with the latest addition to hit Call of Duty: Warzone, players were able to equip custom loadouts in the pre-match lobby earlier this week for the first time (thanks, Eurogamer). It might not sound like a big deal at first, but the custom loadout that players selected in the pre-match lobby would then become the default loadout acquired when the player interacts with a Loadout Drop later in the match.
However, this new addition had an unintentional side effect: players were then able to spawn into Warzone with their custom loadout still equipped from the pre-match lobby. As you can no doubt imagine, this caused havoc in Warzone matches, where players were able to hit the ground with their custom loadouts immediately equipped, instead of the usual route of looting for the best gear around.
As you can see in the tweet from the official Raven Software Twitter account just below, the developer notified players that it would be pulling the feature as of yesterday on July 15, just a matter of hours after the feature was first added to the game earlier in the day. At the time of writing, there's been no update from the developer on when the feature could potentially return to the battle royale game.
A lot of new content has been added to Warzone over the past 24 hours. Just yesterday, the big Season 4: Reloaded update was introduced to Warzone, bringing with it a brand new Operator, a new objective-based mode called Payload, and much more.
