What do alien Nanites do in fortnite?

Alien Nanites have two uses: they can turn specific guns into IO Weapons, working similarly to Nuts and Bolts, or can also be deployed to create a low gravity area. As such, an Alien Nanite is an item that has to be manually picked up. Eurogamer.netFortnite Alien Nanite locations explained: Where to find and how to deploy Alien Nanites

Where is ZYG and choppy?

Zyg and Choppy are a package deal. They're easy to find, also. Just head to Hydro 16 where they're usually walking around the main building on the lower level. ForbesWhere To Dance Near Zyg And Choppy In ‘Fortnite’

I like to think of an underrated car as a car that’s good, but buyers either don’t see its true potential or it doesn’t get the popularity that other models do. Our office Slack discussion brought up many potential examples from the Kia Stinger and Nissan Leaf to the Toyota Avalon. But I don’t think a car like the Kia Stinger really fits here because that thing was all the rage when it came out.

Our Editor-In-Chief, Rory, voted the Hyundai Veloster N as the most underrated car on sale today. It actually makes a lot of sense!

Here’s a hot little hatch that’s so good that Road & Track bestowed the car with its Performance Car of the Year award. It beat out tough competition from the likes of the Nissan GT-R, Toyota Supra, Lotus Evora, Lamborghini Huracan Evo and more to get that honor.

It’s a car that comes in an awesome shade of blue, makes 275 HP from a turbocharged inline-four, gets close to 30 mpg on the highway and costs just a smidge over $32,000. The Veloster N just hits all of the right notes.

And yet, Hyundai only sold 2,212 examples in 2019, tiny numbers compared to the competition.

Honorable mention goes to the Ford Transit Connect. This was a vehicle I never thought too much about. They seem to be favored by flower shops and delivery drivers in my area. But one reader, i86hotdogs, is often in the comments of posts showing off what his Transit Connect can do at RallyCross events. Forget flower deliveries, the Transit Connect is a rally car with the body of a van!

Where to place Welcome Gifts in Holly Hatchery for Fortnite Season 7, Week 5 Quest

CharlieINTEL.com 08 July, 2021 - 07:57am

Here’s how you can complete the Fortnite Season 7, Week 5 Legendary Quest to place Welcome Gifts in Holly Hatchery.

Fortnite Season 7 has brought many new additions to battle royale. There are Alien Parasites and Motherships on the Island, Loki is available as a new skin, and there are new weekly challenges to complete.

One of the Legendary Quests in Week 5 requires you to place Welcome Gifts at Holly Hatchery, previously known as Holly Hedges. This location has changed into a farm for alien eggs in Season 7.

Here’s how you can complete this Quest quickly.

Luckily, there are plenty of locations within Holly Hatchery for you to place Welcome Gifts. They’re not particularly well-hidden, and you only need to place two Gifts in order to complete this Fortnite Legendary Quest.

Most of the Welcome Gifts will be outdoors, and they’re all marked by blue outlines.

Here are all of their locations within Holly Hatchery:

Once you find one of these locations, simply interact with the glowing blue Gift Basket marker to place it. Do this at two different locations at Holly Hatchery, and you’ll successfully complete this Legendary Quest.

This will net you 30,000 XP, and you can get a whopping 165,000 XP for completing all of the stages of Week 5’s Legendary Quests! So be sure to complete these Quests when you jump into the battle royale.

That’s all you need to do to complete this weekly challenge in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7. You can also check out our guide on how to destroy Fortnite Computer Equipment at Satellite Stations or Corny Complex.

The IO Guards have returned in Fortnite Season 7, so here’s how to find them and claim their IO tech weapons.

The Imagined Order, IO for short, is an organization that first appeared in Fortnite Season 5. They had several outposts and headquarters around the Island but were then removed for Season 6.

Now, Season 7 has brought these enemies back, and you can battle them if you want to get yourself some cool tech weapons. They spawn from elevators around the map and will attack and chase nearby players.

Here are all the spawn locations for IO Guards in Fortnite.

There are a total of 10 different IO Guards spawn points around the Fortnite map. They’ll often pop up next to flyable UFOs. It’s well worth landing nearby and fighting them early as each guard drops Gold Bars.

Here are all the IO Guard spawn locations in Fortnite:

To make things a bit easier, we’ve jotted down all of these locations on the Fortnite map below.

Once you clear out a group of IO Guards, use this map to find the next group to receive more gold to purchase and upgrade weapons. You’ll also be able to get your hands on some cool IO tech weapons.

They take quite a lot of bullets to kill, so fight them from a distance, and they’ll miss the majority of their shots. Once they are knocked, you can give them a shakedown and they’ll reveal the location of the rest of the IO Guards in their group.

Here’s how you can complete the Fortnite Season 7 Week 5 Quest to destroy Computer Equipment at Satellite Stations or Corny Complex.

Fortnite Season 7 introduced some new elements to the battle royale. There are Alien Parasites and Motherships on the Island, Loki is available as a new skin, and even LeBron James might be arriving soon.

There also new weekly challenges to complete in Week 5. One of these requires you to destroy pieces of Computer Equipment at Satellite Stations or Corny Complex. This guide will help you out in finding them.

There are currently a total of seven Satellite stations that you can visit on Fortnite Island. You’ll find all sorts of technology there, and you need to focus on wrecking Computer Equipment.

All you need to do is make your way towards them, then start destroying what tech you can find with your pickaxe or weapon. Alternatively, you can also visit Corny Complex, just northeast of the Aftermath, for this Quest.

To make things a bit easier, we’ve marked each of these locations on the map below:

This task is similar to the Week 2 Quest about destroying equipment at Satellite Stations. Once you get to any of these locations, keep an eye out for Computer Equipment. You need to destroy a total of 3 pieces to complete this Quest.

Once that’s done, you’ll net yourself a whopping 30,000 XP! Just be careful of other players that will also be visiting these locations to complete this Quest. Be sure to keep enough gear and weapons to watch your back.

That’s all you need to do to complete this weekly challenge in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7. You can also check out our guide on how to level up the Season 7 Battle Pass as fast as possible.

Here’s how you can complete the Fortnite Week 5 Quest that requires you to find and interact with CB Radios by finding their locations.

There is a lot going on in Fortnite Season 7, with Alien Parasites and Motherships showing up, Loki arriving as a new skin, and even LeBron James being on the way. There also new weekly challenges to complete.

One of the Week 5 Epic Quests tasks you with finding a CB Radio to use on Fortnite Island. These little Fortnite Cb Radios aren’t particularly difficult to locate, but this guide is going to make things a bit easier for you.

The good news is that you won’t need to search around the whole map to find a CB Radio to use, as they are located in different houses within two main areas on the Fortnite map.

You can visit either Retail Row or Believer Beach for this task, as these locations have plenty of these small devices available to use. Luckily, you only need to interact with one of them to complete the challenge.

You can find Fortnite CB Radios in the following locations within Retail Row:

If you find Retail Row to be a bit too crowded, then you can try making your way towards Believer Beach on the North-West side of Fortnite Island. This area is also has a few Fortnite CB Radios for you to get your hands on.

Here’s where you can find CB Radios at Believer Beach:

Once you interact with one of these Fortnite CB Radios, you’ll successfully complete this challenge. This will net you some decent XP, and will bring you one step closer to completing all of Week 5’s challenges!

Pokémon GO Teams Up With The Try Guys & Google Play

Bleeding Cool News 07 July, 2021 - 09:12pm

Niantic has announced new Pokémon GO collaborations ahead of their highly anticipated summer event, GO Fest. Let's take a look at exactly what a crossover between Pokémon GO and the Try Guys looks like.

Over on the official Pokémon GO blog, Niantic announced Google Play as the official sponsor of GO Fest 2021. This will include the following perks:

Three months of YouTube Premium: To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pokémon GO, eligible trainers will get three months of YouTube Premium for free! YouTube Premium is everything viewers love about YouTube—uninterrupted. The service enables users to enjoy both YouTube and YouTube Music ad-free, offline, and in the background.

There will be more news on this specific perk next week. It could be that this will only be available for Google Play customers, which would rule out iPhone users… which would certainly be a choice. Is Niantic out here sending green text messages?

They went on to specify more bonuses for Google Play users:

Google Play Points multiplier: From Monday, July 12, 2021, to Sunday, July 18, 2021, Google Play subscribers will earn 4× Google Play Points on all purchases made in Pokémon GO—including tickets to Pokémon GO Fest 2021. Google Play Points can be redeemed for Pokémon GO coupons and more.

Now comes the Try Guys. The Try Guys are a collective of content creators including Keith Habersberger, Ned Fulmer, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang that began at Buzzfeed and now continues as its own successful media brand. This new Pokémon GO and Google Play collaboration will unlock exclusive Try Guys content.

Exclusive content with The Try Guys: To help you get ready for Pokémon GO Fest 2021, we teamed up with The Try Guys to bring you the ultimate Pokémon GO Fest 2021 training experience. Full of Pokémon GO tips and celebrity cameos (like Jordan Fisher and Chloe Kim!), you'll choose your own adventure and the topic you want to focus on, whether that's fitness, music, exploration, or all of the above! Jump into the challenge and get ready for an epic Pokémon GO Fest experience!

It's been interesting to see Pokémon as a franchise lean into celebrity collaborations for their 25th Anniversary, but one thing that isn't mentioned here which offers a nice balance is Niantic's social media focus on telling the stories of individual trainers. It has also been great to see Niantic pair with vloggers like ZöeTwoDots, who has been a voice for the community for a long time. If the cost of the community involvement we want from Niantic is the thumbnail with that guy in the glasses making the YouTube Face, then that is a cost I am more than willing to pay.

How to deploy alien nanites in Fortnite

PC Gamer 07 July, 2021 - 05:34pm

Fortnite season 7 keeps introducing new alien invasion-themed challenges, weapons, and more. The latest addition is alien nanites, a new throwable item or crafting ingredient that has some pretty out-there effects on the battle.

Epic is introducing them with a new challenge: Deploy alien nanites. Before this challenge unlocks, you'll need to complete the prior legendary quests, including getting your orders from Sloane on a payphone, interacting with a CB radio, and placing welcome gifts in Holly Hatchery. Once those are done, you can do the alien nanite challenge.

But where are alien nanites located, and how exactly should you use them? We've laid it all out below for you.

Alien nanites are a loot drop that can be obtained from the following:

You can use alien nanites as a throwable item, much like a regular grenade. Instead of an explosion, the nanites will create a large rectangular energy field with low-gravity. This can work great as a way to quickly traverse terrain or structures around an enemy and get the drop on them for a close-up kill.

Alien Nanites Gameplay (via @DJLeakss) pic.twitter.com/6LIWEsL0fyJuly 6, 2021

While you're in the nanite field, you can do a sort of low-gravity double jump. The funny thing is that your second jump can actually be angled in basically any direction.

It's also possible to take fall damage after the field dissipates after 30 seconds, so make sure you're using it smartly.

You can also use an alien nanite as a crafting material to upgrade your weapons. Here's a list of every possible weapon upgrade:

That's all you need to know about alien nanites. It's unclear how long Epic will keep them around, but don't count on it past season 7 (barring special modes), so get your hands on them while you can.

Fortnite’s new Payphones are the latest way players can earn Gold Bars. Here is every Fortnite Payphone location in Season 7.

Fortnite offers players a variety of challenges to break up the monotony of the 100 player Battle Royale. Epic and Legendary challenges reward players with massive amounts of XP and sometimes tell a story. Starting in Chapter 2 Season 5, players could interact with NPCs to accept smaller challenges. These challenges would reward players with Gold Bars that they could use to buy items from NPCs.

Now, players can skip face-to-face interactions altogether through the use of the Payphone. The Fortnite Payphone was introduced in Season 7 as a new way to accept gold bar quests. Every Fortnite Payphone location gives players four quests to choose from, each ranging in difficulty and reward. Since the map has a lot fewer NPCs than usual, Payphones are the best way to earn a quick bar.

Payphones aren’t only used for accepting challenges. They are also necessary for completing quests. So far, every Legendary questline has started with players accepting orders from Dr. Slone. Players have to locate a Payphone and answer it to complete the first mission. This is to avoid meeting Slone in person at Corny Complex who will shoot anything that moves on sight.

Below is a map of every Fortnite Payphone location on The Island. There are 15 Payphone locations in total. The challenges they offer change with each match, and it’s unlikely that two payphones will have the same challenges. However, players can only accept one challenge from a Payphone at a time. Here are all of the Payphone locations.

Players need to remember that Payphones only reward them with Gold Bars. Unless they are required to interact with them for a Legendary challenge, they won’t earn XP. The challenges that are given to players by Payphones also have a time limit. These can last anywhere from 60 minutes to only being completable in the round they were obtained.

Fortnite Season 7 has reintroduced weapon upgrade benches. Here’s where every bench is located and how players can upgrade weapons in Fortnite.

Fortnite Season 5 did away with Upgrade Benches – instead, integrating weapon upgrades into the new Gold Bars system. In Season 6, Epic introduced another new way to upgrade weapons in the form of the crafting system.

Now, at the start of Fornite Season 7, Upgrade Benches have returned to The Island, but they are different than before. Sadly, the ability to use NPCs to upgrade weapons has been removed, but using a Weapon Upgrade bench is just as easy.

Season 7 has thinned out the number of NPCs available and has removed one of their most useful features. Players can’t visit an NPC and throw a few gold bars their way to upgrade weapons anymore. Instead, players have to either craft new weapons or use Upgrade Benches.

The map below shows the location of every weapon upgrade bench in Season 7. In previous seasons, players would have to expend building materials to upgrade weapons. However, now upgrade benches accept gold bars in exchange for upgrades. Players have noted that upgrading a weapon in Season 7 is very expensive, and Vending Machines will sell a weapon of the same rarity for less than half the cost.

So, while there may not be any upgrade NPCs, Upgrade Benches are effectively the same thing. As with any upgraded system, each upgrade will cost a different amount of gold bars depending on the rarity of the item. In the past, Upgrade Benches would make players wait to receive their upgrade, but now they are delivered instantly.

The second way to “upgrade” weapons is to use Fortnite’s crafting system. In Season 6, players had bones and mechanical parts to craft with. Now players can use Nuts and Bolts or Alien Nanites in order to craft a different weapon. This won’t increase the rarity of the weapon but acts as a sidegrade to change the weapon type.

Here’s where players can find the Fortnite CB radio locations in order to completed the Season 7 Week 5 Legendary Challenges.

Every week during Season 7, a new set of Legendary challenges are released. Unlike weekly epic challenges, Legendary challenges have to be completed within 7 days. After which, the challenges disappear forever. Not only are Legendary Challenges great for XP, but this season they are integral to the storyline.

Mari is a mysterious character introduced at the end of Season 6. Players communicated with her through the use of CB Radios, and now it’s time to get back in contact. Sunny, a new character introduced this season, is requesting players to use a CB radio to talk to Mari. This guide will show players a handful of Fortnite CB radio locations to make this task much easier.

Players have already had to interact with CB radios a lot for challenges, so they might be familiar with a few locations already. However, new radio locations are added to the game, and some are removed. This guide will show players the Fortnite CB radio locations at Believer Beach and Retail Row.

The reason we chose these two locations is because of how densely populated they are with CB radios. Each location has a large number of radios giving players plenty of options. These locations are also hot drops meaning a lot of players usually land there. However, the number of radios available should make this challenge a breeze. Here are the maps of Believer Beach and Retail Row.

We’ve shown you 11 different CB radio locations, but players only have to visit one to complete the challenge. All a player has to do is approach a CB radio and press the action button. Epic Games has stated that if the challenge doesn’t complete, players might have to attempt the challenge again in another match. This is probably a bug, or maybe Mari just wasn’t on the air when you tried the first time.

Here is where players will need to place the Holly Hatchery welcome gifts in order to complete this week’s Legendary challenges.

Every week during Season 7, a new set of Legendary challenges are released. Unlike weekly epic challenges, Legendary challenges have to be completed within 7 days. After which, the challenges disappear forever. Not only are Legendary Challenges great for XP, but this season they are integral to the storyline.

This season, aliens are invading The Island. Many NPCs, as well as the Imagined Order, think that the invasion is bad. However, an NPC named Sunny invites the aliens with open arms. As such, one of this week’s Legendary challenges requires players to place Holly Hatchery welcome gifts to make them feel at home. This guide will show players where to place every welcome gift.

There are nine locations where players can place the Holly Hatchery welcome gifts, but the quest only requires them to place 2. The placement locations are so close together, it will be easy for players to complete this challenge. And to make it even easier, we’ve put together a map showing all nine locations.

Below is our map of all of the welcome gift placement locations. They are placed outside of almost every house with the exception of a couple. Some houses even have them placed at the front and back doors. Since this POI has changed substantially, it will be a hot drop for the next couple of weeks. That might make this task a little more challenging than usual.

The locations in-game are usually pretty easy to spot as they glow bright blue. Since Hally Hatchery is filled with luminescent plants, they may be a little harder to find. Regardless, players need to locate these glowing locations and use the action button to place the welcome gifts.

Fortnite Insider 07 July, 2021 - 08:51am

A new Legendary Challenge/Quest is released every week in Fortnite Battle Royale and is only available to complete for a limited time until it is replaced by another one the following week. The Legendary Challenges usually have five different stages to complete, all of which grant players XP once they have been completed.

It appears as though there are six stages to complete for this weeks Legendary Challenge, which means more XP to help you level up and earn more Battle Stars to purchase more items from this Seasons Battle Pass. Remember, the Epic Challenges go live on Thursdays, but we will let you know what you expect shortly as the challenges have already been leaked by dataminers.

Where to interact with a CB Radio in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Week 5 - all CB Radio Locations | Gamepur

Gamepur 07 July, 2021 - 01:52am

One of the challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Week 5 is to interact with a CB Radio. This is not the first time the CB Radios have been a quest item recently, but we have no idea who you will be talking to this time. The last time, they were warning us about the impending invasion, perhaps this time they can help us beat the aliens.

You can find six CB Radios in Retail Row, a named location on the eastern side of the map. Below, you can find an overhead shot of Retail Row with all the CB Radio locations marked on it. There are six in total, and we are currently unsure how many you need to interact with to complete the quest.

You can find the rest of this week’s challenges below:
