Nets' James Harden's 3-Emoji Reaction To NBA 2K Rating

ClutchPoints 18 August, 2021 - 10:36pm

When the actual ratings of some players on NBA 2k22 were revealed, Brooklyn Nets’ star James Harden was rated 94 overall to start on this year’s version of the famous basketball simulation game.

Harden’s rating dropped from 95 on 2k21’s initial release to 94 on 2k22. His rating is tied alongside Damian Lillard and Luka Doncic as the MVP-caliber players boast the same rating as the Nets’ superstar.

Despite dropping a point from last year, Harden still had a higher rating compared to other stars in the NBA. However, it seems that James is not happy about his rating as he recently commented a series of laughing emojis on an Instagram post:

James Harden played eight games for the Houston Rockets last season before getting traded to the Nets. Even though Brooklyn has two ball-dominant players in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, it did not hinder Harden’s playmaking as he still averaged 10.8 assists while also scoring 24.6 points per game.

Following injuries to both Harden and Irving, the Milwaukee Bucks knocked off the Nets in last season’s playoffs.

The Nets’ trio will look to start their redemption tour soon as they are set to win it all this season barring any injuries and setbacks.

It will be interesting to see how James Harden’s NBA 2k22 rating will go as the season progresses.

As for NBA 2K22, it’s set to be released on September 10th.

Lakers’ LeBron James Calls out Kevin Durant & Steph Curry Ratings

Heavy.com 18 August, 2021 - 04:31pm

It’s the time of the year when fans and players question the NBA 2K ratings. The popular video game franchise always releases their player ratings before the newest game is released, which gives people a chance to discuss. For the first time in almost two decades, LeBron James may not be considered the best player in the NBA. Kevin Durant has been a popular choice to surpass the Los Angeles Lakers star but NBA 2K wasn’t ready to make that call quite yet.

Both LeBron and Durant received 96 overall ratings. Instead of complaining about his rating, LeBron took to Twitter to call out Durant’s rating.

— LeBron James (@KingJames) August 18, 2021

After missing a year due to injury, Durant quickly returned to form in 2021. He averaged 26.9 points a game during the regular season and then blew up in the postseason. In 12 games, he averaged 34.3 points and 9.3 rebounds. He put together an epic series against the Milwaukee Bucks and many were ready to proclaim him to be the best player in the NBA. LeBron hasn’t willingly given him the crown but it’s telling that he believes Durant should have a 99 overall rating.

Another player who put together an excellent comeback year was Steph Curry. He only played in five games during 2019-2020 due to injury but came back with a vengeance this past season. He led the league in scoring by averaging 32 points a game. Despite the epic season, he was also in the group of players rated 96 overall. LeBron took issue with that, as well, and believes that Curry should be a 99.

For as great as Curry is on offense, he isn’t much of a defender. It seems like the game’s highest ratings should be reserved for players who play both sides of the court at an elite level. Regardless, Curry has shown no signs of slowing down and clearly, LeBron has a ton of respect for his game despite past rumors that the two don’t get along.

After the Lakers’ championship run in 2020, opinions on Anthony Davis were at an all-time high. In fact, ESPN ranked him as the second-best player in the entire NBA. The love affair with the big man appears to have ended. He’s coming off a lackluster season where he only played in 36 games and averaged 21.8 points a game. Even when he was healthy, he wasn’t playing all that well.

Thanks to his poor season, Davis has fallen out of the top-10 highest-rated players in NBA 2K.

Davis has widely been considered a top-10 player for years but he’s quickly fallen out of favor. Unlike many of the players on 2K’s top-10 list, the Lakers star is excellent on offense and defense. Many players have down seasons and Davis is no different. He deserves the benefit of the doubt. However, two bad seasons in a row would be a serious cause for concern. He should be coming out with a chip on his shoulder this season.

LeBron James' 4-Word Reaction To Stephen Curry's NBA 2K Rating

ClutchPoints 18 August, 2021 - 11:03am

Fans got a first look at NBA 2K22 and some of the ratings for players are being revealed. On Wednesday, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry received his for the game. He was given a 96 overall, but that didn’t impress LeBron James.

LeBron James (@KingJames) August 18, 2021

Do you think Bron is a fan of Steph? It certainly seems like it. To be fair, the Warriors guard probably does deserve the highest rating possible after winning the scoring title in 2020-21. Stephen Curry averaged 32.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists while shooting an impressive 42 percent from 3-point range. Talk about dominant!

It’s not like this will really bother Curry anyway, but LeBron James clearly wants to see his buddy have a better rating in the video game.

The Warriors, meanwhile, are poised to get back into playoff contention next season after a disappointing Play-In exit back in May. With Klay Thompson set to return early in the campaign and a couple of new draft picks on the roster, things are looking positive for the franchise.

As for the Lakers, they have done a great job building their roster in free agency, headlined by the addition of Russell Westbrook which gives LA their own Big 3.

As for NBA 2K22, it’s set to be released on September 10th. The Warriors and Lakers will also face off on Opening Night on October 19th.

Rookie Cam Thomas could give the Brooklyn Nets yet another elite scorer

FOXSports.com 18 August, 2021 - 07:37am

Those three form the most offensively gifted three-headed monster in the NBA. But it's the combination of that trio and a rookie who somehow fell into Brooklyn's lap with the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft that could be too much for opposing teams.

Introducing shooting guard Cam Thomas from LSU.

The Nets might have struck gold with their first-round selection after Thomas surprisingly slid to the bottom of the first round after a dominant freshman season at LSU.

The 6-foot-4 guard led the SEC by averaging 23 points per game in his only season in college. He scored 25 or more points in 16 games and at least 16 points in 28 of 29 games, the lone exception coming in a game at Ole Miss on Jan. 9, when he played only four minutes due to an ankle injury.

His scoring prowess quickly translated to the NBA Summer League, in which Thomas topped the leaderboard with an average of 27 PPG in four games.

Really, it should come as no surprise that Thomas has been able to put the ball in the hoop against both college- and NBA-level competition. In fact, that has been his forte since high school.

Thomas is the all-time leading scorer in the history of Oak Hill Academy, the famed prep school in Virginia that has produced NBA players such as Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Jennings, among others.

Thomas also led the Nike EYBL in scoring during the summer of 2019, with 29.5 PPG, the highest mark in the history of the top grassroots basketball league in the country.

Even with his impeccable high school résumé, Thomas was somehow left off the 2020 McDonald's All-American roster. Now it appears he has been overlooked again, considering that he almost fell out of the first round of the draft after a dominant freshman season in college.

But if history is any indicator, he will respond in the only way he knows how: scoring the basketball.
